Overview:
Job Description Summary
Responsibilities
• Generalists responsible for executing regional, divisional, country, or line of business specific communication plans; internal and external activities, and events, specifically:
1. Content Creation:
• Leads the creation of communication materials for internal and external audiences including press releases, op editorials, blog posts, internal and external briefing documents, speeches, video scripts and content for use on social media channels.
• Provides writing, editing and production support for all communication materials/collaterals
• Develops content using a clear and concise writing style that is appropriate to audience
• Proactively identifies story angles, industry hot topics, and thought leadership, turning ideas into excellent content tailored to different audiences within established guidelines and messaging frameworks
• Responsible for developing and maintaining central narratives, hot topics, fact sheets, and executive messaging.
• Edits PR agency-generated written materials
2. Event Management:
• Responsibility for overseeing execution/delivery and co-ordination of communications events, speaking engagements, media outreach and press conferences
• Coordinates materials, deliverables and responsibilities between graphic designers/agencies and own team
• Liaises with various parties including events agency, business teams, and PR agency
• Responsible for all event copy including invitations, briefing documents, panel briefs, speeches and media materials
• Branding
• Venue management – including AV, catering, décor/ set-up
• Agenda compilation
• Speaker management
• Guest lists
3. Volunteering activities:
• Leads all employee volunteering activities including:
• Identification of relevant charity/ NGO/ organisations for staff volunteering, and manages agenda for the day
• Communications with staff around opportunity, and co-ordination of all logistics required
4. Administration
• Manages the administration around Communications Budget – including Purchase Order management, invoice reconciliation and budget tracking
• Responsible for various country, or business area specific information for communications reports
• Analyzes campaign performance using specified measures and evaluation metrics
• Provides any necessary communications and content direction to vendors (e.g. public relations agencies, suppliers, etc.)
• Supports in preparing contracts and running them for approval according to defined process and in relevant systems
• Ad hoc support within the daily operating environment of Communications Department.
• Supports awards and conference calendar development
Experiences
• Demonstrated a high degree of comfort navigating multi-channel communication platforms and sites
• Experience working on projects that require collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to standardize collected data and leverage insights to produce targeted communications content
• Outstanding command of the English language with clear written and verbal communications capability.
• Strong/advanced writing and content development capability.
• Experience managing events
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to focus and prioritize on a variety of activities and announcements in a dynamic, creative, fast paced environment.
• Exceptional media knowledge and research skills in order to help shape a story.
