Main Mission
The Security Engineer is responsible for protecting the university's information systems, networks, and data against cyber threats. They play a key role in preventing, detecting, and responding to security incidents.
Responsibilities
Security Analysis: Conduct security analyses to identify vulnerabilities and potential risks.
Development of Security Policies: Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols.
Monitoring and Detection: Use monitoring tools to detect intrusions and suspicious activities.
Incident Response: React quickly to security incidents, investigate, and take appropriate measures to mitigate impacts.
Security Audits: Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
Training and Awareness: Train and raise employee awareness on best security practices.
Management of Security Tools: Install, configure, and maintain security software and hardware such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and antivirus software.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to integrate security into development projects.
Certifications: Certifications such as CCNA CCNP Security CISSP, CEH, CISM, or equivalent are highly desired.
