The CoreLab of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) is recruiting an engineer for its Analytical Chemistry platform. This laboratory will serve as a platform to support scientific and technical research within UM6P, while offering services to external clients.

The engineer for the ICP analytical chemistry platform will participate in the planning, coordination, and management of ICP platform operations, ensuring the satisfaction of researchers, faculty-researchers of UM6P, as well as external clients.

This laboratory has cutting-edge analytical tools, such as HR-ICP-MS, DeltaQ, among others. We are looking for candidates with extensive experience in the design and execution of experiments with ICP instruments, as well as solid skills in complex sample preparation, method development, instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and mastery of associated software.

High communication and analytical skills are essential for success in this role.

• Reception, processing, and classification of analysis requests.

  
  
  

• Management of samples to be analyzed: storage, packaging, preparation, etc.

  
  
  

• Independent execution of experimental work with the ISOTRACE platform instruments; preparation of necessary reagents, solutions, and standards.

  
  
  

• Development, validation, and documentation of analytical methods and operating procedures according to sample or test requirements; maintenance of quality control records to ensure effective laboratory management.

  
  
  

• Supervision and execution of performance qualifications for the ISOTRACE platform instruments, ensuring traceability of experiments.

  
  
  

• Carrying out preventive maintenance operations to avoid breakdowns and ensure optimal equipment performance.

  
  
  

• Execution of functional tests, calibrations, and adjustments to ensure the accuracy of the devices.

  
  
  

• Writing of complete analysis reports, organization, and archiving of data.

  
  
  

• Strict adherence to workplace hygiene, safety, and health rules.

  
  
  

• Active collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

  
  
  

• Participation in various departmental activities.

  
  
  

• Contribution to inventory management and procurement of consumables for the analytical chemistry platform.
