Main Mission The Security Engineer is responsible for protecting the university's information systems, networks, and data against cyber threats. They play a key role in preventing, detecting, and responding to security incidents.
Responsibilities
Security Analysis : Perform security analyses to identify vulnerabilities and potential risks.
Development of Security Policies : Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols.
Monitoring and Detection : Use monitoring tools to detect intrusions and suspicious activities.
Incident Response : React quickly to security incidents, investigate, and take appropriate action to mitigate impacts.
Security Audit : Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
Training and Awareness : Train and raise awareness among employees on best security practices.
Management of Security Tools : Install, configure, and maintain security software and hardware such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and antivirus software.
Cross-Team Collaboration : Work closely with other departments to integrate security into development projects.
