Reporting to the Reproduction and Breeding Manager, your main mission will be to ensure the complete management of the stable, by supervising the care, training, and well-being of the horses, while ensuring the efficiency of operations and maintaining an optimal environment for the horses.
As such, your key activities will be:
Stable Management
-Supervise the daily operations of the stables
-Plan the maintenance of facilities and equipment
-Manage the necessary resources to ensure an optimal environment for the horses
Horse Management and Work
-Manage and coordinate the daily care of horses: Grooming, hoof care, distribution of feed rations
-Actively participate in the work of the horses according to a predefined schedule
-Adapt training programs based on the individual needs of the horses
Horse Prophylaxis and Health
-Monitor the health status of the horses
-Collaborate with the reproduction and breeding manager on the prophylaxis schedule: Deworming and vaccination
Reporting and Communication
-Keep accurate records of stable activities, horses' health status, and their activities
-Maintain a record of horse care in collaboration with the veterinarian
Logistics Management
-Ensure the supply of feed, bedding, and necessary equipment
-Manage inventory and material needs for the smooth running of the stables
-Optimize resources to maintain efficient cost management
Team Management
-Supervise, motivate, develop, and drive the performance of the team
Required profile :
As a potential candidate:
- You have a BAC+2/3 education in animal production and equine breeding techniques with proven experience of 5 to 10 years minimum, ideally in the equine world;
- Ensure the breaking-in of horses as well as their work on foot and under saddle (breaking to saddle) ;
- Have solid knowledge of hippology, equine care, and horse nutrition ;
- Ensure the management of equestrian facilities and the assessment of horses' health status ;
- Ensure team management and performance monitoring ;
- Are rigorous and have a sense of organization ;
