The Import Purchasing Manager is responsible for defining, managing, and optimizing the company's international purchasing strategy, ensuring product availability, cost control, regulatory compliance, and supply security.





  • Define and implement the import purchasing strategy.

  • Identify, select, and negotiate with international suppliers.

  • Negotiate commercial terms: prices, delivery times, Incoterms, payment terms.

  • Manage import orders (planning, volumes, quality, compliance).

  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics providers.

  • Ensure compliance with customs, tax regulations, and import standards.

  • Monitor purchasing costs, analyze variances, and propose optimization actions.

  • Manage supplier disputes (quality, delivery times, non-compliance).

  • Work closely with logistics, finance, and sales teams.

  • Implement performance indicators (purchasing and import KPIs).


Required profile :

  • Higher education in purchasing, international trade, logistics, or equivalent

  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in import purchasing, ideally in trade or industry

  • Good command of import procedures, Incoterms, and customs regulations

  • Strong international negotiation skills

  • Proficiency in French and English (written and spoken)

  • Comfortable with management tools and ERP systems

  • Rigor, foresight, autonomy, and analytical skills
