Role Overview



The Africa Operating Unit (AOU) is accelerating its data and insights capability to deliver stronger business performance, sharperdecision-makingmaking, and more predictive analytics across categories, channels, and markets. 



The Manager, Data Insights & Analytics plays a critical role in elevating performance reporting, enriching market intelligence, strengthening predictive insights, and enhancing the organization’s ability to make fast, informed, and confident businessdecisions. Thisrolewillsupportorchestratinginsightdrivendrivenreportingecosystemthatfuelsbusiness growth across theWAMAFranchise.



Therole requires a strong Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deepexpertisein business performance metrics, sales analysis, and market insights,consumer understandingas well as the ability to translate complex datasets into compelling,actionableand integrated insights.



Key Purpose of the Role



To lead the Franchise’sdatareporting,market facinganalytics, andoverallinsightgenerationagenda—deliveringaccurate,timely, and strategic data intelligence that informs decisions,unlockgrowth opportunities, and drives business excellence across markets and functions.



WhatYou’llDo for Us



BusinessInsightReporting:



  • Oversee delivery ofcritical reportsthat inform business decisions, marketing strategy, and commercial execution (retail, shopper, consumer, commercial, macros, competition)working with service providers,KOSMEsand bottling partnersto ensurequality,usabilityandcontextual relevance of theseinsights tosystem operations.



  • Own and act as custodian ofkey business data thatfeeds into the business routines, performance reviews andforms the basis for operational and strategic decision making.



  • Produceperiodic insights reports(Annual, monthly, quarterly),identifyingtrends, risks, and opportunities thatwouldguide leadership decisions.



Carry out day-to-dayanalyticswork to support the markets in the Franchise.



Supportthemarkets inbusiness planning by providingrobust datasets, scorecards, and analytical insight acrosschannels,categories.



Identifyand recommend enhancements to systems, data workflows, platforms, and reporting tools to improve speed, accuracy, and user experience.



Supportcross functionalspecial projects requiring deep analytics or insightgeneration.functionalspecial projects requiring deep analytics or insight generation.



Qualifications and Requirements



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field (relevant work experience may substitute for formal education).




  • Minimum5+ yearsof experience in data analytics, business performance reporting, or insights roles — including2+ years of direct experience with Nielsen data.



  • Experience in thebeverage or FMCG industryis a strong advantage.



  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex datasets and translate insights into compelling storytelling that influences leadership decisions.



  • Strong command of analytical tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization and data platforms.



  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.



  • Proven ability to work collaboratively withcross functionalteams and influence withoutauthority.functionalteams and influence without authority.



  • Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
