Job :

We are looking for a competent, dynamic, and leader-minded Nursing Manager Oncology/Hematology, who cares about the patient, to join the Nursing and Hospital Hygiene Directorate at HUIR. He/she will be responsible for organizing the continuity and quality of care within the departments, as well as the human and material resources necessary for the activities and objectives of each unit.




His/her main missions will focus on the following areas:





1. Quality of care







  • The unit care manager will promote a culture of quality and safety of care among the department managers and teams of the various units and will evaluate paramedical professional practices.

  • The care coordinator will develop a forward-looking vision of the activity and needs of each unit:

  • Organizes the continuity of care

  • Monitors and controls activity using internal and institutional indicators

  • Readjusts, in collaboration with the department managers, human and material resources according to activity

  • Coordinates the services of the multidisciplinary paramedical team

  • Evaluates protocols and procedures in a continuous quality improvement process

  • Establishes conditions for reception and stay that respect patient rights

  • Coordinates, in conjunction with the department managers, responses to the management regarding patient and user complaints and grievances

  • Contributes to the evolution of information systems, and to the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of their applications



2. Management of paramedical human resources





  • Contributes to the implementation of efficient work organization

  • Develops the attractiveness of the various units and contributes to staff retention

  • Contributes to analyzing the causes of and combating delays and absenteeism

  • Identifies essential skills for quality patient care

  • Promotes the development of versatility and mobility within and between units

  • Ensures the maintenance and development of skills within their sector

  • Justifies or reduces target staffing levels allocated in line with activity

  • Monitors workload and staffing calculations to propose adjustments in response to changes

  • Ensures that department managers apply institutional rules in staff management

  • Manages conflict situations within the units

  • Manages occupational risks in conjunction with the Occupational Physician, the operational hygiene team, and the unit medical heads

  • Participates in the recruitment of paramedical staff (interviews, theoretical and practical candidate assessment at the care unit level)

  • Monitors and updates staffing and deployment schedules



3. Training of nursing staff







  • Identifies staff training needs based on profiles

  • Participates in the development of the annual training plan in collaboration with the training manager and the human resources department

  • Schedules and delivers training

  • Manages the logistics, implementation, and monitoring of the training plan with the human resources department

  • Evaluates training and learning in collaboration with the unit care managers

  • Prepares the annual report of training activities carried out within the unit



4. Management of resources and equipment







  • Organizes the inventory of equipment needs and participates in their prioritization

  • Ensures, in collaboration with the biomedical team, the maintenance and proper use of equipment

  • Ensures the optimization of material resources

  • Ensures the use of tools (electronic patient records, traceability, etc.)



5. Relations - communication





  • In collaboration with the Unit Medical Head, the unit care manager:

  • Implements an intra- and inter-unit communication policy

  • Manages, processes, and transmits upstream and downstream information for proper care

  • Promotes the creation and development of a spirit of collaboration and belonging

  • Encourages inter-unit exchange projects to enrich practices, knowledge, and develop versatility

  • Prepares and leads meetings within the unit

  • Writes and transmits the unit's activity report

  • Communicates and values relevant initiatives and projects (individual and collective)

  • Ensures the monitoring and updating of dashboards, as well as activity reports.


Required profile :

- Diploma as a versatile Nurse with a nursing manager diploma or equivalent from a recognized institution;
- Significant professional experience of at least five (5) years;
- Knowledge of care protocols and hospital procedures
- Proficiency in office tools, management tools, and hospital information systems (HIS)
- Proficiency in the French language (written and oral)
- Strong team management and human resources management skills
