Job :
We are looking for an experienced and rigorous Nurse (Auxiliary Nurse/Healthcare Assistant) to join our Department of Care and Hospital Hygiene at HUIR. She will be responsible for caring for newborns and monitoring their health status from birth.
She will also ensure their well-being and support parents in the baby's first care.
Your main tasks will be:
1. Newborn Care
- Ensure the baby's hygiene (bathing, changing diapers, etc.)
- Take care of the umbilical cord
- Dress and position the baby comfortably
- Ensure their general well-being
2. Medical Monitoring
- Monitor temperature, weight, and breathing
- Observe the baby's behavior (crying, sleeping, feeding)
- Quickly detect signs of problems or illness
- Alert the doctor in case of any anomaly
3. Feeding
- Give bottles if necessary
- Monitor that the baby is eating properly
- Advise mothers on infant feeding
4. Parent Support
- Explain baby care (bathing, changing diapers, safety, etc.)
- Reassure parents, especially after a first birth
- Provide practical advice for returning home
5. Hygiene and Safety
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment
- Prevent infections in newborns
- Follow hospital protocols
6. Administrative Follow-up and Coordination
- Record information in the baby's file
- Work with doctors and midwives
- Participate in the overall follow-up of the newborn
7. Disinfection and tidying of all equipment
8. Take care of the equipment provided
9. Participate in the integration of newly assigned staff to the department
10. Participate in department meetings
Required profile :
- High school diploma (Baccalaureate), or a Bac +1 / Bac +2
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a nursery, skilled in newborn reception
- Availability
- Organizational skills
