Fes Marriott Hotel Jnan Palace is entering a defining chapter in its evolution. As one of the city's most recognized hospitality landmarks, the hotel is embarking on a multi-year transformation designed to elevate the guest experience, strengthen its market positioning, and unlock the full potential of the asset. Through a significant renovation and repositioning journey, the property is poised to redefine its place within the premium hospitality landscape of Morocco's cultural capital. We are seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead this transformation. This role requires a strategic and commercially astute leader who can successfully balance operational excellence, renovation management, stakeholder engagement, and long-term brand positioning while maintaining strong business performance throughout the transition. The successful candidate will bring a strong luxury or upscale hospitality background, a passion for creating memorable guest experiences, and the ability to inspire teams through periods of change. They will possess a refined eye for detail, a deep appreciation for design and storytelling, and the capability to translate a renovation vision into a compelling hospitality experience that resonates with both international travelers and the local community. Working closely with ownership, the future General Manager will play a critical role in shaping the hotel's next era - driving innovation, enhancing the property's competitive position, and ensuring the hotel emerges from its transformation as a flagship destination within the Moroccan hospitality market.
What You Will Do
- Strategic & Commercial Leadership
- Define and execute a clear business strategy to maximise revenue, profitability, and market share within a highly competitive corporate market
- Leverage Marriott s global demand engines while identifying new opportunities across corporate, institutional, and international segments
- Drive performance across all revenue streams, with a strong focus on RevPAR, rate strategy, and market penetration
- Translate broader brand strategy into a locally relevant and commercially effective plan
- Operational Excellence
- Lead all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring consistent delivery of Marriott brand standards
- Build a culture of accountability and performance across the Executive Committee
- Drive continuous improvement across guest satisfaction, service delivery, and operational efficiency
- People & Culture
- Build and lead a high-performing leadership team, fostering engagement, development, and succession
- Champion a strong service culture aligned with Marriott s values and leadership principles
- Create an environment where associates are empowered, recognised, and motivated to perform
- Owner & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary interface with ownership, building trust through transparency, performance, and delivery
- Balance owner expectations with brand standards to drive sustainable, long-term value
- Present clear, data-driven insights on business performance and strategic direction
- Market Presence & Brand Representation
- Establish a strong presence within the Luxembourg market, building relationships with key corporate clients, institutions, and partners
- Represent the property and brand at a local and international level
- Drive visibility, reputation, and positioning within a competitive landscape
Who We re Looking For
You are an experienced and commercially driven hotel leader with the ability to operate effectively in an international, stakeholder-rich environment.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Proven General Manager or Hotel Manager experience within full-service or upscale hospitality
- Strong commercial acumen, with a track record of driving revenue growth and profitability
- Experience operating in corporate-driven markets and managing diverse customer segments
- Demonstrated ability to lead large, multi-functional teams
- Degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field preferred
- Strategic thinker with strong execution capability
- Highly credible communicator, able to influence senior stakeholders
- Results-driven with a strong focus on accountability and performance
- Passionate about people leadership and developing high-performing teams
- Agile and adaptable in a dynamic, international environment
