ABOUT THE ROLE :
Lead and oversee all airside and ramp operations to ensure safe, compliant and efficient aircraft handling, cargo processing and turnaround activities. The role is responsible for maintaining full compliance with aviation regulations, DHL operational standards and airport authority requirements while driving operational performance, safety and service quality across Gateway operations.
YOUR TASKS :
- Supervise aircraft loading, unloading and turnaround activities to ensure safe and on-time operations.
- Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, airport requirements and DHL standards including AGOM, SMS and DGR.
- Coordinate daily airside operations with flight crews, airport authorities, Customs and operational stakeholders.
- Monitor and manage Ground Support Equipment (GSE) availability, utilization and safety.
- Oversee ULD inventory, serviceability, build-up and load security processes.
- Ensure accurate shipment scanning, operational reporting and compliance with DHL network requirements.
- Identify, assess and mitigate operational and safety risks while ensuring a strong safety culture.
- Report hazards, incidents, dangerous goods occurrences and aircraft handling issues in a timely manner.
- Supervise and manage airside staff during operational shifts, ensuring productivity and compliance with procedures.
- Conduct operational briefings, debriefings, safety meetings and performance discussions.
- Coach, develop and support team members through training, competency assessments and certification compliance.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipment processing to achieve clearance targets and transit time objectives.
- Ensure work areas, facilities and equipment remain operational, secure, clean and ready for the next shift.
- Support investigations, audits and inspections conducted by aviation, Customs and regulatory authorities.
- Manage staffing plans, operational resources and manpower allocation according to workload and business seasonality.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, safety and service performance.
YOUR PROFILE :
BAC +3 minimum, preferably in Transportation, Safety Management, Aviation or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Operations or Service environments.
Minimum 5 years of experience managing and developing teams.
Good command of French, spoken and written.
Strong knowledge of transport, gateway and airside operations processes.
Good understanding of operational reporting, performance management and information systems.
Strong leadership, coaching and people management capabilities.
Excellent analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
Ability to perform effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced operational environment.
