Missions:

• Team Leadership: Lead a team of developers in the design, development, and implementation of data solutions, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Technical Design: Provide and execute technical designs for data platform components, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical standards.
• Standards and Best Practices: Establish and promote good standards, patterns, and practices for data engineering within the team.
• Feature Delivery: Oversee and lead the delivery of entire features or epics, ensuring timely and successful completion.
• Mentorship: Mentor and support junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with external stakeholders to understand their needs and provide updates on project progress.
• Data Engineering Expertise: Utilize advanced knowledge of data engineering concepts, including processing large volumes of data, ETL/ELT processes, data lakes, and data warehouses.
• Azure Data Platform Proficiency: Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Azure Data Platform services, including Azure Data Lake Gen2, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Databricks, Key Vault, CosmosDB, App Services, Azure Analysis Services, Docker/Kubernetes, and Azure Stream Analytics.
• Security and Automation: Familiarity with security, automation, and cost management aspects of Azure.
• SQL and Programming Skills: Possess expert or advanced knowledge of SQL and proficiency in Python or C#.
• Analytics and Business Intelligence: Experience with analytics and business intelligence concepts and technologies, particularly within Microsoft Azure.
• Technical Tools: Proficient in Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake (ADL), Azure Data Factory (ADF), PySpark, SQL Data Warehouse (Synapse), HIVE, and Azure DevOps.

Requirements:

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field, with a proven track record of leading teams and delivering complex data solutions.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications in Azure or data engineering are a plus.
• Communication Skills: Strong presentation and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Creative Thinking and Problem Solving: Excellent creative thinking, problem-solving, planning, time-management, project management, and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work effectively.
