Position: Operations Manager DM/DEWA Approved

Location: Dubai, UAE

Job Description: As the Operations Manager at Dakos Technical services, you will be at the forefront of building and shaping our operational strategies. Your role will be crucial in establishing processes and systems that ensure our startup operates efficiently and effectively. The Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of experience in the construction industry MEP/HVAC/ Fit-outs. This role requires a leader with strong personality and solid experience, and ability to supervise teams effectively and manage the overall functioning of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations in both the office and construction sites.
  • Cost Estimation: Collaborate with project managers, designers, architects, and engineers to analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other relevant documents. Estimate costs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
  • Bid Preparation: Prepare detailed bid proposals by calculating direct and indirect costs. Ensure that bids are competitive while maintaining profitability.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks related to cost overruns, scope changes, or unforeseen conditions. Propose mitigation strategies.
  • Documentation: Maintain organized records of cost estimates, assumptions, and supporting documentation.
  • Vendor Relations: Work closely with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain accurate pricing information.
  • Taking quantities from received drawings and preparing BOQ or if BOQ provided confirming the BOQ quantities with drawings and identifying the extra works if any.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement best practices to streamline operations and enhance productivity from the ground up.
  • Attend commercial & contractual meeting with client representatives/consultant financial administration.

Team Development:

  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment with company goals and support overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the teams to ensure smooth operations and workflow.

Resource Management:

  • Oversee resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet the demands of a growing company.
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Inventory Management: Procurement of materials, plan inventory and oversee warehouse efficiency.

Quality Assurance:

  • Establish and maintain quality standards to ensure that our services meet and exceed customer expectations.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational efficiency and address any issues promptly.
  • Maintain and monitor project plans, schedules, and work hours.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed on-site.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Previous experience in operations management, preferably in a building maintenance/technical services field and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to build and manage effective teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
  • Familiarity with operational tools and technologies.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving work environment.
  • Must be able to prepare detailed weekly and monthly work schedules and project plans with a proven history of delivering projects on time.
  • Must have an eye for detail and should be technically sound to preempt possible issues in execution and find solutions.
  • Must have knowledge about authorities standards of (DEWA, DCD, DDA, DM, Trakhees & DMCC etc).
  • Must Have experience dealing with DM systems ( DEQsmart, BPS).
  • Should be hands on with AutoCAD.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Must be DM/DEWA approved. with a valid SOE certification.
  • Valid UAE driver's license (Required).
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of construction processes and health and safety regulations.
  • Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in the construction industry.

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month
