Warehouse Specialist

DHL Global Forwarding has an opening for Warehouse Specialist in Morocco. In this specific position you will administer warehouse and ground operations plans and processes to provide smooth operations for movement, storage and inventory control of materials, finished goods, tools and packaging and to meet cost, quality, customer and market-specific requirements in line with the business strategy and requirements, corporate guidelines and policies.

In this Warehouse Specialist position

• You will apply broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education.
• You will work closely supervised.
• You will face problems that are not typically difficult or complex.
• You will administer warehouse and ground operations plans and processes for warehouse/distribution facilities.
• You will receive, sort, and process incoming/outgoing materials/cargo, parts, products, supplies, and equipment according to defined schedules, established procedures, and regulations.
• You will check and endorse the accurate receipt and issue of cargo against relevant documents.
• You will perform loading and unloading of materials onto or off pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand and ensure cargo is stored in their allocated positions.
• You will load materials and cargo into vehicles/trucks/containers and use hand tools to install strapping, bracing, and padding.
• You will undertake cargo movement, complying with regulations and internal procedures, and update shipment status accordingly.
• You will administer stock counts and reconciliation of any stock discrepancy, monitoring the cycle and turnaround time of order processing.
• You will keep inventory records, including inventory records of customer stock, maintain inventory at defined maximum/minimum levels, and perform stock audits to ensure the integrity and security of stock.
• You will maintain information in computerized systems such as logs, packing lists, pick tickets, invoices, inventories, transfer/delivery tickets, orders/receipts, etc., and generate delivery/shipping documents.
• You will ensure the supply of raw materials and components to production areas, record the entry of finished products to the corresponding warehouse, and prepare required reports.
• You will perform the physical handling of cargo, accurately implementing all receiving and order processing operations, picking and bulking operations, and ensure that cargo is packed according to request.
• You will resolve recurring issues and suggest enhancements related to warehouse and ground operations work methods, focusing on promoting efficiency, faster service, and lower costs.
• You will manage and execute warehouse/distribution center activities related to movement, tools, and packaging (e.g., pickers and packers).
• You will pack items for shipment according to specifications.
• You will receive or inspect goods, scan, and verify items against the shipment record.
• You will manage transshipment and sorting activities (e.g., within sorting centers).
• You will operate gas or electric-powered forklift trucks to move, stack, load, or unload materials, parts, and goods.
• You will consolidate shipments.
• You will perform unit load devices.
• You will explain facts, policies, and practices related to the job area.
• You will support and interact primarily with colleagues of your own sub-function.
• You will develop a network of contacts to build up relationships and strengthen organizational, product, and market knowledge.
• You will be an individual contributor without direct responsibility for leading others.
