GENERAL MISSION



Under the responsibility of the Head of General Services and Shared Services, the Documentation Unit Manager is responsible for managing the documentation and information center, welcoming and assisting students and all other users of the CDI (Information and Documentation Center).



MAIN MISSIONS



• Supervise and ensure the smooth running of the CDI's activities: welcoming, informing, and guiding users, managing collections, handling transactions;
• Ensure the quality of reception and the premises (comfort, cleanliness, organization of spaces) as well as the responsiveness and quality of services provided;
• Improve and diversify the range of services offered, adapting to socio-cultural and technological changes;
• Design and organize events, cultural, and artistic activities in line with the institution's project goals;
• Develop the CDI's regulations, get them approved, and ensure their application;
• Implement procedures for managing and regulating the use of the center (internal regulations, documentary charter, user guides, etc.);
• Oversee the selection, acquisition, and documentary processing of collections (Books, educational books, encyclopedias, etc.);
• Manage collections (define documentation policy, organize acquisitions, coordinate deselection, ensure collection renewal, etc.);
• Ensure the setup and integration of collections into the integrated library management system (SIGB);
• Administer the SIGB (integrated library management system);
• Develop an online public access catalog (OPAC);
• Inform students, teachers, and administrative staff about new acquisitions;
• Train users on how to use the online catalog and documentary resources;
• Present the CDI during visits;
• Produce bulletins of new acquisitions;
• Conduct documentary watch (staying updated on new documents);
• Follow up on documentation files;
• Prepare orientation guides and user manuals.





Required profile :

PROFILE:



• Minimum BAC+3 diploma (equivalent to a Bachelor's degree), preferably in Information Science or related fields;
• At least 3 years of experience in document management, preferably in an educational environment;
• Proficiency in computer tools: Document management software, databases, search engines;
• Knowledge of classification and indexing techniques.
