Mission

A Senior Scientist job is open in mechanical engineering and energy systems to do advanced research in computer simulation of fluid flow (CFD), heat and fluid dynamics, and materials for storing hydrogen, renewable energy, and industrial tasks.

The goal of this job is to create new ways to use energy better, store hydrogen, and find sustainable energy solutions. This will use computer models and real-world tests. The person hired is expected to help create high-quality research papers and support moving technology to use through research with companies.

Main Activities

• Do research and development in computer simulation of fluid flow (CFD), heat and mass transfer, and systems for storing energy.


• Create new models for storing hydrogen, processes of adsorption, and composite materials.


• Use computer simulations that involve multiple physics to make energy systems work better.


• Lead the design and study of mechanical systems for industry and renewable energy uses.


• Study how to manage heat and the structural strength of energy systems and mechanical parts.


• Work on projects to improve technology, connecting university research with company use.


• Write research papers, patents, and technical reports.
