RFR OPS and Customer Service Specialist

DHL Global Forwarding – Morocco has an opening for a RFR OPS and Customer Service Specialist where you will implement Road freight Strategy in the country as defined by ensuring ontime delivery of road freight services. Individuals responsibility is to ensure procuring best rates from carriers , commerically work on customer RFQ's and manage Operations for clients.
In this RFR OPS and Customer Service Specialist position
- You will own and maintain Country Road Freight tariffs with carriers based on agreed validity.
- You will review existing pricing rates and policies with carriers and the network to initiate updates and changes based on market trends and business requirements, while maintaining strong relationships with them.
- You will drive the best pricing solutions in order to maximize Road Freight profitability.
- You will ensure internal local and cross-border rates are entered into the rate management system and validate them for auto‑costing, quotations, and auto‑
- You will manage contracts with suppliers, establish regular carrier meetings, and ensure these are conducted for all key carriers.
- You will analyze accepted and rejected quotes lane‑wise and negotiate with the network and carriers for improved rates.
- You will determine profit margins and support Sales, Sales Support, and Customer Service with required follow-ups.
- You will source and provide spot rates to Sales and Customer Service for all types of cargo moved by road.
- You will negotiate and procure the best market rates.
- You will execute global procurement strategies and decisions related to rates, processes, and other expectations.
- You will monitor carrier and station performance and initiate corrective actions where required.
- You will execute operational shipments for allocated customers, from booking with the customer to booking with the carrier to billing and updating all operational systems, taking ownership of file control (profit, revenue, and cost).
- You will ensure timely billing of executed shipments and update systems to provide full visibility to customers.
- You will ensure the use of carriers as per defined policy to maximize company profitability.
- You will ensure customers receive full shipment visibility and movement updates in accordance with customs compliance.
- You will maintain excellent relationships with DGF EU and Freight EU teams for effective rate procurement and operational coordination.
Now, here’s what we need from you
- Deep knowledge of Road freight forwarding business from domestic and cross border prospective
- Excellent analytical , structuring skills along with Strong project management skills and ability to cope with multiple bids in parallel.
- Results driven and attention to details
- Minimum 3 years of experience in road freight pricing, commercials and operations
- Understanding of end to end process from freight and customs prospective for domestic and international road movements
- Understanding of end to end process from freight and customs prospective for international road movements
- Team Player
- Improvide department profitability by improving procurement of rates from carriers.
- Fluent in English, French, and Arabic.
- Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification
- Experience Level: 3 years in road freight pricing, commercials and operations
