Roles & Responsibilities

Assistant Head of Finance


He ensures supplies and verifies stock levels. He is responsible for inventory and month-end closing procedures, while also contributing to optimizing ratios and implementing procedures related to purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoicing. He also ensures compliance with food storage standards in designated areas and distribution to various departments (kitchen, guest floors, etc.).

Reporting to the Finance Director, the responsibilities and essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Check the stock levels;
  • Control the quantity and quality of inputs to the store;
  • Management of consumer goods, F&B stock and miscellaneous items (FIFO, LIFO, CMUP);
  • Respect hygiene standards during storage;
  • Verification of product expiration dates;
  • Apply the 2/3 DLC procedure in favor of the consumer;
  • Rational arrangement, by category of all the shelves;
  • Comply with HACCP hygiene standards;
  • Prepare the direct debit slips;
  • Collaboration with the purchasing manager to avoid stock shortages;
  • Cleaning and packaging of storable products;
  • Conduct stock surveys during the month;
  • Take inventory of the store in the presence of a controller;
  • Ensure stock supply;
  • Ensure the storage and disposal of consumer products;
  • Ensure the receipt of goods with the help of the receiving controller;
  • Coordinate with the receiving controller to prepare supplier files;
  • Supervise all of the tasks of the economist;
  • Validate the direct debit vouchers;
  • Validate the return slips;
  • Correction of validation and allocation errors of direct debit vouchers issued by points of sale;
  • The maintenance of administrative documents for the conomat, as well as their classification and archiving;
  • Verify the conformity of product quality in the presence of the receiving controller;
  • Establish the MC withdrawal slips in case of emergency;
  • Enter monthly inventory data;
  • Analyze inventory variances (conomat);
  • Make regular purchase requests in accordance with the products of the consumer;
  • Collaborating with the various department heads in order to meet their needs;
  • Management of the leave and rest schedule for the Conomat team;
  • Other tasks, such as those assigned.

Desired Candidate Profile

A two-year post-secondary degree in Hotel Management;

  • A minimum of 03 years' experience in the service of consumer protection;
  • Prior experience required;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications is an asset;
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills;
  • Particularly responsible and reliable;
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to work in a team;
