ABOUT THE ROLE :
Sort, deliver and pick up shipments for a defined route or service area in the most efficient, safe and cost-effective manner, while providing a professional interface and image to customers and the general public.
As part of a polyvalent operations team, the Courier also supports terminal handling, warehouse and shuttling activities to ensure smooth end‑to‑end service execution.
YOUR TASKS :
- Deliver inbound shipments without delay in line with Required Delivery Dates (RDD).
- Collect outbound shipments within agreed timeframes and ensure no pickup is missed.
- Ensure accurate scanning and recording of all shipment handling activities using DHL systems.
- Maintain the security and integrity of all shipments while in custody.
- Handle cash transactions related to delivery and pickup activities and hand over all cash on the same day to the Operations Cashier or Supervisor.
- Ensure all delivery and pickup documentation is complete, accurate and compliant with DHL standards before handover to outbound processing.
- Reconcile all non-delivered shipments (ND / UNDEL) and prioritize them for the next delivery cycle.
- Perform proper sorting of shipments in line with network split and Perfect Shipment (MPS) standards.
- Participate in warehouse processing activities including sorting, loading, unloading, shuttling and gateway-related tasks when required.
- Coordinate with Dispatch, Customer Service and Supervisors to manage delivery, pickup and service issues proactively.
- Provide timely and accurate feedback on service incidents, customer requests and shipment exceptions.
- Maintain the assigned vehicle in good condition and operate it safely, responsibly and in compliance with road regulations.
- Act professionally and courteously at all times, representing DHL’s image and values with customers and the public.
- Cooperate with customs authorities, third-party agents and other regulatory bodies when required.
- Maintain cleanliness, order and readiness of work areas and equipment for the next operational cycle.
- Adhere strictly to Health, Safety & Environment (H&S) policies, report hazards, incidents and near-miss events on the same day, and attend mandatory safety trainings.
YOUR PROFILE :
BAC +2 minimum.
Valid driving license B & C.
More than 1 year of driving experience; prior experience in service transportation or courier activities is an advantage.
Good command of French, spoken and written.
Basic software skills (Word, Excel and operational systems).
