Roles & Responsibilities

1. Management of landfill operations

• to organize and supervise the daily operations of waste disposal
  ,
• 
  Ensure the operation of the lockers in accordance with the site 's operating plan .
• Plan the opening, operation, and gradual closure of the lockers,
• Ensure the proper distribution of waste in landfill areas,
• Supervise waste compaction operations,
• Ensure the implementation of daily waste collection.

2. Equipment and machinery management

• Supervise the use of construction equipment (bulldozers, excavators
  , etc.),
• Ensure the optimal use of equipment,
• Report maintenance and repair needs,
• Ensure the availability of the equipment necessary for operation.

3. Team Management

• To supervise the operational teams assigned to the landfill area,
• To distribute the tasks between the operators and equipment drivers,
• Organize team rotations and scheduling,
• Ensure that safety instructions are followed on site.
• Provide training and awareness-raising for agents on good
  operating practices.

4. Environmental monitoring

• Ensure compliance with environmental standards applicable to
  landfill sites,
• To ensure the control of environmental nuisances (odours, windblown insects,
  dust, etc.),
• Supervise leachate management, participate in monitoring the biogas capture and management system,
• Ensure proper management of rainwater on the site.

5. Monitoring of site operations

• To verify the conformity of waste transported to the landfill site,
• Monitor the tonnages and volumes of buried waste,
• Optimize the use of available space in the lockers,
• Ensure the stability of the slopes and the safety of the operating areas.

6. Reporting and administrative management

• to prepare periodic operating reports,
• Monitor operational indicators,
• Report any anomalies or incidents to management.
• Participate in the preparation of reports intended for the authorities or the ECI.

Desired Candidate Profile

Formation :

Bac +2 / Bac +3 in environmental engineering, civil engineering, waste management or
similar field.

Professional experience:

3-5 years of experience in the operation of a landfill, a controlled landfill or in waste management.
