Roles & Responsibilities

Teaching French as a Foreign Language (FLE) and French for Specific Purposes (FOS):

  • Teaching French as a Foreign Language: across all sites (in situ and annexes) and across all CEFR levels, to children, teenagers, students and adults in private or group lessons.
  • Teaching of French for Specific Purposes (Courses in companies, Expression and communication techniques, professional French, etc.) in person and remotely.
  • Participation in in-person and remote placement tests (development, administration and evaluation)
  • Needs analysis and pedagogical engineering in collaboration with the course manager and the pedagogical coordinator (design of modules and FLE & FOS reference materials).
  • Content creation and facilitation of French as a Foreign Language (FLE) and French for Specific Purposes (FOS) courses.
  • Participation in the creation of educational materials and the design of assessment tools.
  • Participation in local meetings and the French Institute of Morocco network; promotion and implementation of local decisions and national directives;
  • Participation in the promotion of cultural life and the media library of the French Institute of Marrakech to FLE learners and FOS clients.

Depending on service requirements:

  • Participation in the organization, supervision, administration and correction of DELF, DALF, TCF or other certifications on Saturday and Sunday
  • Participation in registrations through educational tasks (design and administration of placement tests) across all sites (on-site and annexes)
  • Involvement in all of the Institute's activities in order to promote links and joint actions between the different departments.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree
(Bac +4/+5) in French as a foreign language strongly recommended, or DAEFLE or equivalent diploma with proven experience.
Valid DELF/DALF examiner/marker accreditation.

Experience:
Minimum 2 years in teaching French as a Foreign Language (FLE/S), French for Specific Purposes (FOS), or similar experience.
Experience in administrative tasks within an alliance, institute, or language school would be an asset.

Skills:
Essential mobility across all teaching sites and within companies.
Assessment of the expectations and needs of the target audiences.
Proficiency in teaching tools adapted to the target audiences.
Use of educational technology and experience integrating it into French as a Foreign Language (FLE) and French for Specific Purposes (FOS) classrooms; proficiency in using tools for pedagogical purposes.
Aptitude for pedagogical innovation (monitoring, follow-up, experience).
Implementation of team projects.

Desired skills:
Knowledge of the digital education sector.
Excellent general knowledge.
Proven competence in teaching French as a Foreign Language (FLE) and French for Specific Purposes (FOS).
Perfect command of the French language (spoken, read, and written) is essential.
Proficiency in standard office software.
Good knowledge of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​(CEFR).
Very good knowledge of the professional business environment.

Job requirements:
Flexible hours to accommodate language course openings (especially after 7 pm and on Saturdays).
Sunday work required as needed.
Classes are held at various locations throughout the city, requiring frequent travel.
