Job Details

In line with Safran Purchasing's strategy, the Purchasing Manager Operational Support and IT leads the Operational Support Department. They define the strategy, ensure the performance and transformation of Purchasing support activities, develop the service portfolio by integrating new activities, and improve economic performance through process optimization and digitalization. They are also responsible for the process of providing Safran Maroc's IT resources in coordination with the IT department.

Main Missions

1. Department Strategy and Governance:

  • Defines the orientations, priorities, and objectives of the department in line with Safran Purchasing's strategy.
  • Leads governance, ensures the achievement of quality, cost, deadline, and compliance objectives, and reports on performance and risks.

2. Development and Integration of New Activities:

  • Defines the development strategy for the activity portfolio and identifies services to be pooled or transferred.
  • Evaluates integration conditions and supervises transition, startup, and stabilization phases.

3. Economic Performance and Process Optimization:

  • Drives economic performance improvement through process simplification, standardization, and optimization.
  • Monitors costs, productivity gains, and improvement plans.

4. Management of Purchasing Operational Support Activities:

  • Supervises transactional, administrative, and purchasing application support activities.
  • Ensures compliance with procedures, service commitments, and regulatory requirements, and validates non-production purchase orders within delegation limits.

5. Digital Transformation:

  • Defines and manages the department's digital roadmap.
  • Oversees the deployment of automation, RPA, data, and reporting solutions.

6. Relations with Safran Purchasing and Client Companies:

  • Acts as the interface with Safran Purchasing, international hubs, client companies, and internal clients.
  • Facilitates performance reviews, manages service commitments, and improvement plans.

7. Safran Maroc Information System:

  • Manages the IT resource provision process in coordination with the IT department.
  • Oversees IT support and ensures the availability, service continuity, and security of IT resources.

8. Management, Skills, and Capitalization:

  • Manages activity managers, develops skills, and participates in recruitment.
  • Ensures knowledge capitalization and business continuity.

9. Budget, Risks, and Internal Control:

  • Participates in budget preparation and manages expenses within their perimeter.
  • Manages operational and compliance risks, and ensures the application of internal control and audit follow-up.

Desired Candidate Profile

Higher education BAC+5 in purchasing, supply chain, management, engineering, information systems, or equivalent field, with at least 10 years of experience in management and transformation functions.

Proven experience in directing a department, a shared services center, or an international perimeter, with management of activity managers and leadership of complex organizations.

Mastery of Purchasing and P2P processes, shared services models, operational governance, internal control, and risk management.

Ability to define a strategy, build and defend business cases, arbitrate resources, and drive economic performance, productivity, and cost reduction.

Good understanding of IT issues, particularly regarding user support, infrastructure, authorizations, service continuity, and IT security.

Demonstrated experience in digital transformation, process optimization, automation, data, and the management of cross-functional or international programs.

Assertive leadership, strong negotiation, influence, and change management skills, with professional proficiency in French and English.
