Community Manager – Wasta
Wasta is seeking a Community Manager to grow and facilitate vibrant online communities of English language learners through WhatsApp and social media. This role is integral in fostering meaningful interactions and maintaining a culture of learning, support, and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and engage multiple WhatsApp groups, organize online events, and ensure community guidelines are followed.
- Host and promote the weekly Wasta Session, a structured English language learning event.
- Coordinate online and in-person activities for specific groups, including university-based and leveled English proficiency groups.
- Monitor and moderate group discussions to maintain a respectful and inclusive environment.
- Engage group members with educational content, language practice polls, and discussions, while encouraging volunteer participation.
- Manage the flow of new members and facilitate the creation and enforcement of community ground rules.
- Collaborate with volunteers across the EMEA region, managing and recognizing their contributions with certificates for extracurricular participation.
- Grow Wasta’s presence on LinkedIn and Instagram by sharing educational content, engaging with potential learners, and collaborating with micro-content creators.
- This position will focus on building a supportive learning community while expanding Wasta’s audience through strategic social media engagement.
