Job Description

We are looking for a Data Expert to join our team and play a strategic role in the management, analysis, and use of our data. As a Data Expert, you will be the technical point of contact for all data management issues within the company, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance while enabling its optimal use by business teams.

Responsibilities

• Data architecture and governance : Design and implement robust and scalable data architectures, ensuring clear and effective data governance across the organization.
• Data quality management : developing and implementing processes and tools to ensure the quality, consistency and reliability of data at each stage of its lifecycle.
• Data modeling : Create data models adapted to the needs of the business, ensuring their alignment with strategic objectives.
• Advanced data analysis and exploitation : Analyze large datasets to extract relevant insights that support strategic decision-making. Design and implement dashboards and reports to facilitate business analysis.
• Security and compliance : Ensure compliance of data management practices with current regulations (GDPR, etc.), and implement robust security protocols to protect sensitive data.
• Support for business teams : Working closely with operational, marketing, sales, etc. teams to understand their data needs and provide them with suitable solutions.
• Process optimization : Propose continuous improvements to data management processes, using the latest available technologies to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
• Technology watch : Staying at the forefront of trends in data management, Big Data, AI and analytics to anticipate developments and provide innovative solutions.
• Training and awareness : Train and raise awareness among employees regarding data management, data quality and information security within the company.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

Required skills

• Expertise in data management : In-depth knowledge of best practices in data management, governance, data quality and security.
• Data management tools : Proficiency in data management tools (ETL, Data Warehousing, Data Lakes), as well as Business Intelligence solutions (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
• Data modeling skills : Knowledge of data modeling methodologies (e.g. relational, dimensional modeling).
• Data analysis skills : Experience with analytical tools and statistical techniques for data analysis (Python, R, SQL, etc.).
• Knowledge of databases : Proficiency in relational (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) database management systems.
• Knowledge of Big Data technologies : Experience with Big Data platforms (Hadoop, Spark, etc.) and large-scale data processing tools.
• Data compliance and security : Knowledge of data security standards and legal compliance, in particular the GDPR.
• Technical English : Good command of spoken and written English to interact with international teams and consult documentation.

Desired profile

• Bac +5 degree in computer science, data science, engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5-7 years experience in data management, with specific experience in data governance, quality and analysis.
• Data Management certification (DAMA, CDMP, etc.) or equivalent, a plus.
• Solid experience in managing complex data projects in a dynamic environment.
• Strong ability to transform technical challenges into solutions tailored to business needs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills , with the ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Strengths

• Experience in integrating data from various sources (internal applications, APIs, external data).
• Knowledge of AI and machine learning tools applied to data.
• Experience with Data Governance tools (Collibra, Alation, Informatica, etc.).
• Experience in team management or technical mentoring.
