Job :
The Functional Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring the conformity, quality, and reliability of hardware and software solutions in a railway environment. They are involved in defining, executing, and monitoring validation activities to ensure complete coverage of functional requirements and traceability of test results.
Main responsibilities
Test Analysis and Specification
- Define validation strategies and plans.
- Write and maintain scenarios and test cases based on functional requirements.
- Perform impact analyses and ensure requirement coverage.
- Develop and update test specifications.
- Produce and validate associated test documentation.
Traceability and Requirements Management
- Ensure 100% coverage of requirements and executed tests.
- Maintain traceability matrices and UVR documents.
- Ensure consistency between requirements, test cases, and results.
- Define validation strategies for special or partial cases.
Execution and Validation
- Perform functional test campaigns on simulators, test benches, TrainLab, or trains.
- Test software and hardware evolutions.
- Analyze, diagnose, and document detected anomalies.
- Write validation reports and track correction requests.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of test and validation processes.
Required profile :
Technical Skills
- Proven experience in functional testing, validation, or quality assurance.
- Proficiency in testing methodologies: conformity, integration, system, and validation.
- Knowledge of test and anomaly management tools: ControlBuild, ClearQuest, Jira.
- Proficiency in simulation and diagnostic tools such as E3.Series, TraceView, VNC Viewer, BitVise, Diagnostic Editor or equivalents.
- Ability to write technical specifications and test reports.
- Knowledge of configuration management processes and industrial standards, ideally in the railway sector.

Profile Sought
- Master's degree (Bac+5) in Electronics, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Automation, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in functional testing, validation, or quality assurance, ideally in an industrial or railway environment.
