Job :
Reporting to the Racecourse Production Manager PI, your main mission will be to read the script based on sound recordings and ensure the artistic and technical aspects of sound production and recordings, taking into account post-production, while monitoring sound equipment. As such, your main activities will be:
Operational:
- Preparation and installation of audio equipment (microphones, consoles, intercoms, speakers, recorders, etc.) according to the specific needs of productions;
- Master the technical fields of the sound universe (physical. Electronic. Acoustic. Analog technologies and Digital technologies) as well as the artistic fields of sound recording and mixing of sound sources (mixing) according to sound recording formats (Monaural. Stereo. Multiphonic) ;
- Operate sound capture, sound mixing, and sound recording tools (mixers. Consoles. Mixers...) ;
- Ensure real-time mixing during live broadcasts: balancing sources, managing feedback, coordinating with the video control room;
- Sound capture PAD: choice of microphones, placement, quality of capture, multitrack recording if necessary;
- Management of intercoms and audio coordination between different team members (production, studio, guests);
- Check sound branding (Music. Intro/Outro music. ...);
- Prepare the order distribution system according to requests and the production's specifications;
- Audio post-production: track cleaning, synchronization with image, equalization, final mixing, mastering, and export in the correct formats;
Performance:
- Respect the procedures in place;
- Compliance with broadcasting standards (sound level, compression, broadcast compatibility, etc.);
- Participate in annual training in line with the department's needs.
Required profile :
As a potential candidate:
You have a 2-3 year degree in Audiovisual, Sound, Digital, or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in live and/or studio sound engineering, with mastery of digital consoles.
Required Skills:
- Good knowledge of professional audio equipment.
- Excellent command of audio processing software.
- Solid knowledge of acoustics, electroacoustics, and audio cabling.
- Ability to interpret technical sheets and stage plans.
