About the Role
 
We are looking for a highly experienced Group Legal Counsel to join the Group Function Legal Affairs and Compliance (GFLA) team within the EMEA Market Area. The team provides strategic legal support across commercial, regulatory, corporate governance, employment, and compliance matters to support business objectives and safeguard Ericsson’s reputation.
Reporting to the Head of Legal – CU West & Southern Africa and Corporate Affairs (MMEA), this role will act as a trusted advisor to the business, providing pragmatic legal guidance in a complex and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will support the organization on a broad range of legal matters including commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, intellectual property, sanctions/trade control, and dispute resolution.
Based in Morocco, the role requires fluency in French and Arabic.
Legal counsel roles typically advise companies on legal risks, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with regulations while supporting strategic business decisions.
 
What You'll Do:




•    Provide strategic legal advice to business leaders across customer operations, sales, product and service delivery within the CU WSA Market Area.
•    Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements, customer contracts, sourcing arrangements and strategic partnerships.
•    Provide legal guidance on corporate transactions, governance matters, regulatory compliance, competition law, data protection and intellectual property.
•    Support high-value commercial negotiations while ensuring alignment with legal frameworks and company policies.
•    Identify, assess and mitigate legal and operational risks across business activities.
•    Monitor regulatory developments and advise stakeholders on relevant legal implications.
•    Coordinate dispute resolution strategies and manage external counsel where necessary.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable business initiatives while protecting company value and reputation.
•    Communicate complex legal issues clearly to senior leadership and non-legal stakeholders.
•    Contribute to building a high-performing legal function by mentoring colleagues and sharing best practices.
 
The skills you bring:




•    10+ years of legal experience, ideally in a multinational corporation or top-tier law firm.
•    Strong expertise in commercial transactions, corporate law, and regulatory compliance.
•    Experience in technology, telecommunications, or digital industries is an advantage.
•    Proven ability to manage complex legal matters independently and provide strategic guidance to senior stakeholders.
•    Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
•    Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
•    High ethical standards, sound judgment, and commitment to confidentiality.
•    Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a collaborative global team.
•    Fluency in French and Arabic required; English proficiency required.
