Position: QHSE Officer
Hierarchical attachment: General Services Manager
Work location: BTS Center and Training Center for Green Development Trades, UM6P, Benguerir
Main missions:
The QHSE Officer is responsible for managing and coordinating aspects related to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment within the center. He/she ensures compliance with HSE regulations and standards within the center (workshops, laboratories, restaurant, accommodation, fire network, etc.) with current regulations and coordinates the actions of subcontractors involved in the maintenance and auxiliary services of the center.
Responsibilities:
- Quality:
- Implementation of quality requirements related to their scope.
- Ensures continuous improvement of processes and procedures within their scope.
- Coordinate internal HSE audits and monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure that quality standards are respected by subcontractors.
- Hygiene:
- Supervise hygiene conditions within their scope.
- Ensure subcontractors and service providers comply with hygiene requirements.
- Conduct regular internal audits to guarantee compliance with hygiene standards.
- Safety:
- Implement the center's safety measures, including the fire network (extinguishers, fire hoses, smoke detectors, smoke ventilation).
- Raise awareness among subcontracted staff about HSE requirements.
- Manage documentation and procedures related to safety (evacuation plans, emergency interventions).
- Supervise the compliance of subcontractor work and interventions with safety standards.
- Environment:
- Manage the environmental aspects of the center (solar energy, water management, waste treatment, etc.).
- Monitor environmental indicators and propose improvement actions to minimize the center's ecological impact.
- Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure their actions comply with the center's environmental criteria.
Specific activities:
- Conduct regular QHSE audits and write compliance reports.
- Develop action plans in case of non-compliance and monitor their implementation.
- Contribute to the development and updating of operational procedures related to maintenance, cleaning, catering, and fire safety.
Required skills:
- In-depth knowledge of QHSE management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Mastery of standards and regulations related to fire safety, hygiene, and environmental management.
- Skills in risk analysis and subcontractor management.
- Communication skills.
- Synthesizing ability and rigor in managing documents and reports.
Profile sought:
- Education: Master's degree (Bac +4/5) in HSE, QHSE, or environmental engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a training or industrial environment.
- Certifications: Holding a QHSE, SST, or equivalent certification would be a plus.
