Job :

At the heart of operations, you will play a key role in leading a production team. You will be responsible for all employee management tasks, such as training, supervision, schedule management, task assignment, and employee evaluation. You will also be the preferred point of contact for internal and external clients, as well as management.




The supervisor will adopt the CORE operating system and the vision of Lean Manufacturing to thrive in a team environment with high performance expectations.




You will be responsible for achieving qualitative and quantitative objectives, while ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.





As such, you will be required to:





  • Supervise daily operations in a high-tech industry.

  • Supervise production operations (shop floor management, workforce management, and flow disruption management), interface with maintenance and planning personnel.

  • Participate in setting up an effective team that meets production demands and changes while adopting a strong problem-solving culture.

  • Monitor the quality, productivity, and flow of processes to meet customer satisfaction.

  • Work diligently to resolve quality issues and involve the workforce in achieving production goals.

  • Ensure maintenance of a world-class safety culture and respond promptly to all environmental, health, and safety requirements.

  • Responsible for key performance indicators: on-time delivery, productivity, quality, etc.

  • Communicate effectively with all levels of management.

  • Lead and participate in meetings with other managers.

  • Help manage the budget.

  • Actively promote an ethical corporate culture throughout the facility. Actively contribute to operational unit leadership to support growth and successfully lead the entire business.

  • Participate in the integration and training of new employees.

  • Supervise shift changes and ensure continuous communication during shift overlaps.

  • Coordinate problem-solving activities for materials and logistics in the assigned area to ensure material availability and smooth operations.

  • Interface with multiple disciplines within the company to understand customer needs and issues, and ensure customers receive satisfactory service standards.

  • Contribute to the successful launch of new production lines according to schedule.

  • Support process definition activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile :


Required qualifications:




Engineering degree with a minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in a similar production environment, or a higher education degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience, or a Bac+2 (2-year post-secondary degree) with 10 years or more of relevant experience.




Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.




Ability to work in shifts.




Experience in manufacturing mechanical components (such as CNC turning, milling, deburring)




To excel in this role, the required skills are as follows:





  • Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written.

  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Word.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage pressure and multiple, changing priorities.

  • Knowledge of the aerospace industry.

  • Leadership qualities and a strong interest in management, quality assurance, and the implementation of innovative processes.
