Job : The metallurgy technician supports the metallurgy team by organizing and executing plant sampling campaigns, performing laboratory-scale tests, and optimizing plant performance. They ensure the proper functioning of plant process analyzers and conduct regular equipment inspections.
The metallurgy technician undertakes specific projects to improve the performance of production plants. They collaborate with other plant departments to ensure safe plant operation, as well as with mining and geological groups to ensure production targets are met.
Main responsibilities:
Operational excellence in milling and refinery process metallurgy.
Participate in plant process metallurgy activities, including sampling, analysis, testing, circuit performance, and metallurgical accounting.
Plan and execute laboratory-scale test work; prepare concise test work reports with results
Analyze and interpret metallurgical and process data to ensure alignment with operational objectives.
Investigate whether the methods used are the most efficient, safe, and environmentally acceptable.
Plan and coordinate plant sampling campaigns.
Prepare reports and written documents related to technical recommendations and plant operations improvements.
Ensure safe, efficient, and accurate operation of online analyzers and samplers throughout the process.
Participate in the development and review of procedures and occupational risk analysis.
Complete analysis and inspections of critical plant equipment during planned shutdowns.
Location: Zgounder Mine, Askaoun Municipality, Taliouine District, Taroudant Province.
Working hours: 23 days on / 7 days off rotation

Required profile :
Possess a DUT or Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, option Valorization, Materials and Metallurgy Engineering, Process Engineering, or equivalent, with 1 year of experience
Technical knowledge and experience in ore processing;
Ability to identify and diagnose problems encountered in the different stages of the process; Excellent analytical, synthesis, and communication skills;
1 year or more of experience in ore processing, crushing, grinding, cyanidation, flotation, and filtration is an asset.
Bilingualism essential (French and English).
