Job :
Reporting to the site's Technical Manager, your role is to define and implement the necessary means for the controlled and repeatable production of new products, while managing the Preparation and Tooling team and actively contributing to its development.
You will be responsible for the following tasks:
Management:
- Leading and supervising the preparation and tooling team.
- Participating in the skills development and continuous training of employees.
- Motivating and managing your employees.
- Encouraging knowledge transfer within your team.
- Managing the entire preparation phase for new products (analysis of definition files, development of manufacturing files, definition of needs (work orders, materials, qualifications), processing of First Article Inspection (FAI) files, design and manufacture of tooling).
- Managing the workload/capacity of the preparation team.
- Managing changes.
- Approving manufacturing and inspection files for new products.
- Ensuring the availability and conformity of the tooling required for product manufacturing and inspection.
Technical:
- Analyzing customer needs and studying their feasibility.
- Defining the manufacturing process and the means required for producing new products.
- Preparing manufacturing and inspection files.
- Designing manufacturing and inspection tooling + validating their conformity.
- Producing prototypes.
- Participating in the consultation and selection of suppliers (tooling, materials, fixings, etc.).
- Analyzing non-conformities detected during product inspection and proposing suitable technical solutions.
- Launching and monitoring First Article Inspections (FAI) until customer validation.
- Configuration management (Managing the technical description of newly industrialized products and their various evolutions).
- Programming 3D inspections.
- Providing technical support to production.
- Ensuring the optimization of production processes in compliance with regulations and health and safety rules.
Required profile :
- You hold an engineering degree in mechanics or a similar field with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role (concrete experience in the Aeronautics sector would be highly appreciated).
- You are autonomous, organized, and have good knowledge of the machine park and various manufacturing processes (sheet metal work, machining, surface treatment, and assembly).
- Proficiency in problem-solving tools and root cause analysis.
Beyond technical skills, you have excellent leadership, analytical, and anticipation skills.
