Job :
Main Mission The Security Engineer is responsible for protecting the university's information systems, networks, and data against cyber threats. They play a key role in preventing, detecting, and responding to security incidents.
Responsibilities
- Security Analysis: Perform security analyses to identify vulnerabilities and potential risks.
- Development of Security Policies: Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Monitoring and Detection: Use monitoring tools to detect intrusions and suspicious activities.
- Incident Response: React quickly to security incidents, investigate, and take appropriate actions to mitigate impacts.
- Security Audit: Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
- Training and Awareness: Train and raise employee awareness on security best practices.
- Management of Security Tools: Install, configure, and maintain security software and hardware such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and antivirus software.
- Cross-team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to integrate security into development projects
Required profile :
Required Skills
Technical:
- Expertise in network and systems security.
- Knowledge of security protocols (SSL, TLS, VPN, etc.).
- Experience with threat and vulnerability management tools (Tenable, Logpoint, Splunk, Palo Alto, FortiGate, Check Point, SIEM, IDS/IPS, etc.).
- Knowledge of security standards and frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) and automation tools.
Analytical:
- Ability to analyze and interpret security logs.
- Ability to assess risks and propose corrective measures.
Personal:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team and collaborate with different departments.
- Sense of initiative and proactivity.
Qualifications
Education:
Engineering degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Certifications:
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP Security, CISSP, CEH, CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
