Job :
We are looking for an experienced and meticulous Radiology Technician to join our Nursing and Hospital Hygiene Department at HUIR. He/She will prepare and perform diagnostic imaging, interventional radiology, nuclear medicine, and radiotherapy/radio-oncology examinations.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Patient Reception and Care:
1. Reception and Information: - Welcome patients, inform them about examination techniques, and reassure them. - Verify the accuracy of the information on the examination request form.
- Collect and record patient-related data and/or information (e.g., allergies, presence of prosthetics, etc.).
- Take X-rays and place them in the appropriate folder while verifying the patient's identity.
Ensure the transmission of patient-related information.
2. Monitoring and Follow-up: - Monitor patients' health status.
- Participate in the clinical monitoring of patients during investigations and treatments.
II. Performing Examinations and Procedures:
1. Application of Protocols and Techniques: - Apply protocols related to various exploration and treatment techniques using ionizing or non-ionizing radiation, or other physical agents.
- Prepare and administer products for therapeutic and diagnostic purposes.
- Assist the physician in performing therapeutic procedures (infiltrations, arterial dilation, stent placement, puncture, drainage, etc.).
2. Data Management and Traceability: - Ensure that procedures are coded before they are performed.
- Record performed examinations in the HIS and fill out all available informational documents.
- File records efficiently and accessibly.
III. Safety, Hygiene, and Radiation Protection:
1. Protection Measures and Risk Prevention: - Apply or take identified protective measures to perform professional tasks.
- Identify, analyze, evaluate, and prevent risks within their area of responsibility, and define corrective and/or preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with patient care standards and hygiene and safety standards for radiation protection.
IV. Equipment Maintenance and Management:
1. Maintenance and Servicing: - Participate in the maintenance and preventive servicing of equipment and materials provided.
- Detect and report equipment malfunctions and failures, and inform the supervisor.
V. Training and Professional Development:
1. Training and Integration: - Participate in the training and integration of newly assigned staff in the department.
2. Continuous Improvement: - Evaluate professional care practices within their area of expertise.
- Participate in department meetings and training sessions organized by the institution.
Required profile :
- Bachelor's degree (Bac+3): Radiology Technician Diploma
- 2+ years of experience
- Proficiency in MRI / X-ray / CT Scan.
- Training or diploma in MRI / Radiation Protection / Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy desirable.
