Job :
We are looking for an experienced and rigorous ONCO/HEMATO/CHEMO Specialized General Nurse to join our Nursing and Hospital Hygiene Department at HUIR. He/She will be responsible for welcoming and caring for patients, identifying their needs, making nursing diagnoses, formulating care objectives, implementing appropriate actions, and evaluating them.
Your main tasks will be:
1.
- Welcome the patient and collect their administrative (identity, age, sex...) and clinical data.
- Listen to and comfort the patient and their loved ones.
- Inform and educate the patient, their family, and their entourage.
2.
- Provide the various treatments and medications prescribed by the doctor until the patient's discharge.
- Perform comfort and well-being care in collaboration with the nursing assistant.
- Monitor the evolution of the patient's health status.
- Perform preventive care (position changes, pressure sore prevention...).
- Prepare patients for surgical procedures, explorations, biological, and radiological tests.
- Perform therapeutic care (infusion, injection, administration of prescribed treatments).
3.
- Update monitoring and treatment charts.
- Ensure oral and written handovers between different team members.
- Respect patient allocation by the supervisor.
- Record all care provided in the computerized nursing care record.
- Participate in the development of technical sheets and care protocols.
4.
- Prepare and maintain the care cart.
- Check, manage, and maintain medical equipment and devices (care cart, biomedical equipment).
- Determine the needs for medications and medical devices for patients under their responsibility.
5.
- Train and supervise new staff and interns.
6.
- Ensure hygiene rules are followed (hand washing, waste sorting).
- Ensure the prevention of hospital-acquired infections.
Required profile :
- General Nurse Diploma
- 3 years or more of experience in an oncology department
- 1 to 2 years in general care
- Experience in an onco-hematology department, Day Hospital (HDJC)
- Chemotherapy protocols
- Management of implantable venous access devices
- Management of toxicities, extravasation...
- Pain management, nutrition, fatigue, palliative care
- Management of blood products
- Ability to diagnose and meet patient needs
- Knowledge of the responsibilities of a nurse
- Knowledge of good practice procedures and techniques related to their field of activity
- Conducting resuscitation in partnership with the responsible physician in the context of emergencies.
