Job :
1. Supervision of Operations:
• Ensure coordination and supervision of the daily activities of the treatment plant.
• Monitor crushing, grinding, cycloning, gravimetric pre-concentration, leaching, and solid-liquid separation (counter-current decantation) processes to ensure their efficiency and compliance with established standards and indicators.
2. Team Management :
• Coach and motivate a team of operators and assistant operators
• Supervise the work of operators by assigning tasks and responsibilities fairly and effectively while ensuring close monitoring throughout the shift.
• Provide ongoing training and support to the team to improve skills and performance.
3. Communication and Collaboration:
• Coordinate activities with other departments, including maintenance, metallurgy, warehouse, and purchasing.
• Communicate effectively with the Treatment Manager and team members to ensure a clear understanding of objectives and expectations.
• Collect yield calculation information
• Understand the quality parameters of the solution, finished product, and performance data.
HSE Roles & Responsibilities
1. Ensure the safety of the shift operators.
2. Responsible for the use of PPE for the entire team
3. Contribute positively to the training of treatment operators in occupational health and safety.
4. Ensure compliance with safety standards and operating procedures.
5. Report any safety or environmental anomaly/incident/accident that occurred during the work shift to the manager.
6. Participate in ZMSM's HSE approach (HSE committee; procedure updates,)
7. Ensure the safety of equipment and the cleanliness of the plant.
Required profile :
Knowledge:
1. Understand plant operation and recognize failure modes.
2. Know the product specifications and cutoffs expected by the functions: crushing screening, grinding cycloning, gravimetric pre-concentration, leaching & counter-current decantation.
3. Understand and interpret the performance data of unit operations.
4. Understand the PFD and P&ID of the plant and the role of reagents.
5. Understand the technologies of the machines installed in its unit.
6. Know the operation of equipment and control loops.
7. Know the risks and failure modes related to its operations.
8. Understand the operation and flow-sheet of a counter-current decantation unit.
9. Know the start-up, shutdown procedures, and operating modes.

Profile
Required education level: Bac +2 to Bac +3 in mineral processing, industrial chemistry or equivalent.
Desired diplomas: Higher Technician Diploma
Experience: 3 years of experience in mineral processing or similar industry
Mandatory training: Advanced knowledge of hydrometallurgy processes and fragmentation & grinding techniques.
Mandatory training to be completed before starting:
• Team Leadership Training
• Specific training on risks associated with cyanide handling.
• Training on intervention and emergency management procedures in case of cyanide incidents.
• Basic HSE training including: use of PPE, mechanical and electrical risks, and emergency situations.
