Roles & Responsibilities
The Shift Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality production execution during his/her shift. The role includes team coordination, production monitoring, troubleshooting support, and continuous improvement actions in order to meet production targets and KPIs.
This position is suitable for a junior engineer with strong leadership potential and willingness to develop in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
ROLE :
- Shift Operations Management
- Ensure production execution according to planning, priorities, and operational procedures.
- Monitor daily output and ensure achievement of production targets (OEE, yield, scrap, cycle time).
- Coordinate shift activities and ensure proper handover between shifts.
- Team Supervision
- Lead and support operators/technicians during the shift.
- Ensure correct manpower allocation based on workload and critical operations.
- Coach and motivate the team to improve performance and discipline.
- Ensure compliance with attendance, shift rules, and shopfloor organization.
- Quality & Process Control
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, work instructions and process parameters.
- React quickly to deviations and coordinate containment actions when needed.
- Support investigations of non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
- Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict compliance with safety rules and internal policies.
- Promote safety culture (5S, PPE usage, safe behavior).
- Stop production if required in case of safety risk.
- Troubleshooting & Escalation
- Provide first-level troubleshooting for process/equipment issues.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Process Engineering and Quality teams for resolution.
- Escalate major issues according to escalation procedures.
- Continuous Improvement
- Participate in Lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, SMED, standard work).
- Identify improvement opportunities and implement action plans.
- Contribute to reduction of downtime, scrap and rework.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare shift reports (production output, issues, actions, downtime reasons).
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability (logs, checklists, deviations).
- Ensure correct KPI tracking and data accuracy.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES :
- Engineer degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Automation .. from big school.
- Willingness to work in shifts (including nights/weekends depending on schedule).
- Leadership potential and ability to manage shopfloor teams.
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset (structured thinking, root cause analysis).
- Ability to work under pressure and handle priorities in real-time.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial KPIs.
- Good computer skills (Excel, reporting tools, ERP/MES knowledge is a plus).
Desired Candidate Profile
Engineer degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Automation .. from big school.
Internship experience in manufacturing is a plus.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
French: fluent ; English: intermediate to fluent (preferred)
