Job Description Location : TFZ Tangier Plant
The Process Engineer will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining injection molding processes to ensure high-quality production, efficiency, and compliance with safety and quality standards. The role involves close collaboration with production, quality, and maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Process optimization: Develop and refine molding parameters to improve cycle time, reduce scrap, and ensure consistent product quality.
- Tooling management: Support new mold introduction, tooling validation, and troubleshooting of mold-related issues.
- Specification creation: Define and develop specifications for injection molding machines (IMM) and all related equipment ‘automation, IMM’s peripherals…’
- Production support: Assist operators with machine setup, adjustments, and problem-solving during production runs.
- Quality assurance: Implement scientific molding principles to meet customer specifications and reduce defects.
- Continuous improvement: Lead initiatives in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process standardization.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain process sheets, work instructions, and technical reports.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work with R&D ‘designers & laboratory tester’, quality, and supply chain teams to support new product launches and ongoing production.
- Overmolding expertise: Apply knowledge of overmolding processes to ensure proper adhesion, material compatibility, automation and product performance.
Education Requirements
- Engineer degree: in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Industrial, or Plastics Engineering
Experience Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in injection molding processes (automotive, electronics, or packaging industries preferred).
- Strong knowledge of scientific molding principles and polymer processing.
- Experience with troubleshooting molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and SPC tools.
Languages
- Communication skills for cross-department collaboration.
- Good english level
