Chemistry Teacher

Location: Rabat, Morocco

Start Date: August

Contract: Full-time

Our client, a well-established international school in Rabat, is seeking a qualified and experienced Teacher of Chemistry to join its academic team. The successful candidate will teach Cambridge IGCSE, AS, and A Level Chemistry within a structured, high-achieving environment that values academic excellence, scientific inquiry, and student engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Chemistry at IGCSE, AS, and A Level (Cambridge International Curriculum).
  • Deliver engaging and practical lessons across organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry.
  • Plan and conduct laboratory experiments in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Prepare students thoroughly for Cambridge examinations.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing meaningful and constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental collaboration.
  • Support the wider life of the school through extracurricular and enrichment activities.
  • Uphold safeguarding, pastoral, and professional responsibilities.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
  • Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE and/or AS and A Level Chemistry.
  • Strong subject knowledge and practical laboratory experience.
  • Proven track record of preparing students for external examinations.
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing, academic achievement, and continuous professional development.
