Freight, Contract Logistics & Customs Manager - IMEA



Location : Sidi Maârouf, Casablanca, Morocco



About the position:



As part of its development, we are recruiting for our client, a world leader in the automotive sector, a Freight, Contract Logistics & Customs Manager for the IMEA region.
The person in this role will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of import, export, and transit flows, while managing the optimization of logistics operations on a regional scale.
This includes, in particular, analyzing customs regulations (e.g., calculating landed costs).
The position also aims to leverage opportunities related to free trade zones to optimize cross-border operations.
This role is strategic and will actively contribute to the transformation and future structuring of the regional supply chain.



Your main tasks:



1. Freight management & network optimization



  • Manage the planning, forecasting, and reporting of transport activities (all modes)
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Deploy optimization plans and monitor performance
  • Analyze and manage transport costs
  • Contribute to budget forecasts
  • Identify network optimization opportunities

2. Contract logistics & service provider management (LSP)



  • Promote best practices regionally
  • Ensure compliance with negotiated contracts
  • Contribute to tenders and decision-making
  • Participate in negotiations and deployment of new service providers
  • Monitor the performance of logistics service providers
  • Manage escalations and support supplier development

3. Processes, tools & sustainability



  • Deploy processes and tools
  • Lead CO2 reduction initiatives
  • Manage logistics and transport projects

4. Customs management



  • Advise on customs procedures
  • Ensure the compliance of documents and processes

5. Compliance & risk management



  • Ensure compliance with regulations
  • Identify and manage risks

6. Dispute resolution



  • Participate in resolving disputes
  • Represent the company before customs authorities


Required profile :

Profile sought:



  • Master's degree (Bac+5) in Supply Chain, Logistics, Management, or Industrial Engineering
  • Excellent English communication skills (required)
  • Significant experience of at least 5 years in supply chain (ideally in the automotive sector)
  • Experience in managing logistics providers and contract negotiation
  • Ability to manage cross-functional projects
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to manage stakeholders
  • Proficiency in supply chain tools
  • Regional mobility required
