About us Infomineo is a pioneering global AI-enhanced research company that transforms how businesses access, analyze, and act on critical intelligence. We've evolved from traditional business research outsourcing to become the strategic partner that combines cutting-edge artificial intelligence with deep human expertise. We offer 3 services to our global clients (leading consulting companies, Fortune 500 companies, and government entities): AI and Data Advisory, Next-Gen Insights and Resource Scaling. This is made possible by relying on 3 pillars of excellence: 1) 350+ industry experts spread across 5 offices (Cairo, Casablanca, Mexico City, Dubai, Barcelona), 2) Our proprietary AI orchestrator, 3) Extensive knowledge assets combining 500,000+ delivered case studies and database subscriptions. Ready to kick start your career with us?

About this role As a Senior SharePoint Consultant, you take technical ownership of the design, development, testing, packaging, and handover of modern SharePoint solutions for client engagements. You work closely with the Graphic Designer, client stakeholders, and client maintainer to translate business and design requirements into practical, secure, accessible, and maintainable SharePoint solutions. This role requires strong hands-on experience with SharePoint Online, SPFx, React, TypeScript, PnP tooling, and modern SharePoint architecture. A defining feature of the role is that the client does not provide access to their production Microsoft 365 tenant, and no client data may leave their environment. You therefore build and test solutions in our own Microsoft 365 tenant using synthetic content, then deliver deployable packages, provisioning artefacts, and runbooks that the client's maintainer can execute. The role requires greater autonomy than a standard SharePoint implementation role. You are the only SharePoint specialist in the engagement and are expected to make sound technical decisions, challenge unnecessary customization, troubleshooting without production access, and ensure that what is handed over can be successfully deployed and maintained by a non-technical client.

What will you do?

Take end-to-end ownership of the SharePoint pilot, covering the following areas:

PILOT DELIVERY

Build and deliver a modern SharePoint communication site homepage in collaboration with our Graphic Designer. Implement page layouts, navigation, theming, native SharePoint web parts, and custom components.

Assess requirements critically and favor out-of-the-box SharePoint capabilities wherever they provide an appropriate solution. Push back on unnecessary custom development, particularly where custom code provides only cosmetic or marginal functional benefit.

Build reusable components, patterns, and structures that can support the subsequent rollout rather than requiring redevelopment.

CROSS-TENANT BUILD & HANDOVER

Maintain a working replica of the client's intended site structure within our Microsoft 365 tenant using synthetic content only.

Design solutions specifically for deployment across a tenant boundary where the development environment and client environment cannot be directly accessed.

Create and maintain portable deployment artefacts, including PnP provisioning templates, SPFx .sppkg packages, site scripts, theme JSON, configuration files, and required design assets.

Identify tenant-specific dependencies and ensure they are documented and configurable during deployment.

Anticipate differences between the development and client environments, including permissions, policies, existing branding, retention settings, app catalog configuration, and other tenant-level constraints.

Develop deployment runbooks that allow a non-technical client maintainer to deploy the solution with minimal external assistance. Include validation, troubleshooting, and rollback procedures in deployment documentation.

Support the client through deployment without directly accessing or modifying their production environment.

SHAREPOINT IMPLEMENTATION & SPFX

Implement modern SharePoint solutions using native SharePoint functionality wherever appropriate.

Develop production-quality SPFx web parts and extensions using React and TypeScript.

Manage the complete SPFx development workflow, including development, build, bundling, packaging, testing, and deployment preparation.

Use PnP PowerShell, provisioning templates, PnPjs, and related tooling to automate and reproduce SharePoint configurations.

Configure modern SharePoint site designs, site scripts, hub sites, navigation, page layouts, themes, and native web parts.

Use Microsoft Graph where Microsoft 365 data or functionality cannot be appropriately provided through native SharePoint capabilities. Understand API permission scopes and the administrative consent required for Microsoft Graph integrations.

Use supported SharePoint customisation approaches and avoid fragile CSS injection or unsupported techniques that may break with Microsoft updates.

DESIGN FIDELITY, RESPONSIVENESS & ACCESSIBILITY

Translate approved visual designs and mockups into accurate, production-quality SharePoint pages. Implement designs faithfully across spacing, typography, layouts, component states, interactions, and responsive behaviour.

Work closely with the Graphic Designer to identify technical constraints or design conflicts early and agree practical solutions.

Build responsive experiences that work effectively across desktop, tablet, and mobile form factors.

Ensure delivered pages and components meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility requirements. Apply appropriate semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, colour contrast, focus states, alternative text, and accessible interaction patterns.

Monitor page performance and minimise unnecessary client-side processing and impact on first render.

Desired Candidate Profile

EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of professional experience working with SharePoint, including at least 3 years working with SharePoint Online and modern SharePoint experiences.

Proven experience delivering SharePoint intranets, communication sites, or modern digital workplace solutions.

A portfolio of delivered SharePoint intranet or communication-site projects that you can demonstrate and discuss.

Previous consulting or contract delivery experience.

Experience working with security-constrained, regulated, or otherwise restricted client environments is highly desirable.

Experience working as the primary or sole SharePoint specialist on a project is highly desirable.

Professional proficiency in English; French or another relevant client language is a plus.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Strong hands-on experience with SharePoint Online modern experiences.

Strong understanding of communication sites, team sites, hub sites, site designs, site scripts, navigation, themes, page layouts, lists, libraries, and native web parts.

Proven production experience developing SPFx web parts and extensions.

Strong hands-on experience with React and TypeScript.

Experience with the complete SPFx build, bundle, package, and deployment workflow.

Solid HTML and CSS fundamentals.

Practical understanding of accessibility and experience delivering WCAG 2.1 AA-compliant interfaces.

Strong hands-on experience with PnP PowerShell.

Experience creating repeatable and maintainable provisioning processes.

Understanding of Graph API permissions, delegated/application permissions, and tenant administrator consent. Familiarity with REST APIs and authentication concepts is expected.

Good understanding of the SharePoint App Catalog and SPFx approval process. Understanding of what a tenant administrator must approve before custom code or integrations can run.

Familiarity with SharePoint permissions, application permissions, API scopes, and tenant-level configuration.

Experience in preparing deployment packages and technical documentation for administrators.

Working knowledge of Power Automate and Power Apps. Ability to recognise when Power Platform provides a simpler or more cost-effective solution than custom SPFx development. Understanding of SharePoint integration with Power Platform and associated deployment considerations.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

Comfortable taking ownership as the sole SharePoint specialist on an engagement.

Able to work independently without direct access to the client's production environment.

Strong troubleshooting skills, including the ability to diagnose issues from screenshots, logs, configuration information, and user feedback.

Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce precise and practical deployment documentation.

Able to teach and enable a client maintainer without assuming prior coding or SharePoint expertise.

Pragmatic and able to distinguish between genuine technical requirements and unnecessary customization.

Proactive in identifying dependencies, risks, and decisions that could affect delivery.

bout the Platform

Project: Morocco Steady-State Operations

Environment: Government-grade, on-premises bare-metal infrastructure. Three security-zone Kubernetes clusters (DMZ, Core, Red Zone) underpinned by a Fortinet security fabric (FortiGate 901G HA pair, FortiSwitch, FortiManager, FortiPAM, FortiWeb WAF, FortiADC, FortiAnalyzer) and Dell PowerEdge R670 compute nodes with Ceph distributed storage. Backup is delivered via Dell PowerProtect.

Operations model: The platform has been deployed and accepted. These roles cover Day 2 steady-state operations — monitoring, incident response, change management, backup validation, and continuous improvement. No deployment or project delivery responsibilities.

Role Overview

The Infrastructure & Platform Operations Engineer is the primary Day 2 owner of the compute, Kubernetes, storage, and backup layer of the platform. You maintain cluster health, respond to node and workload incidents, manage the backup and recovery lifecycle, and ensure the observability pipeline is accurate and actionable.

You work alongside the Network & Security Operations Engineer, who owns the Fortinet fabric. Together, the two roles provide full-stack operational coverage. When a platform incident has a network/security dimension — for example, a pod failing to reach an external endpoint — you collaborate across the boundary and escalate correctly.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Kubernetes Cluster Operations

Monitor health of all three Kubernetes clusters (DMZ, Core, Red Zone): node readiness, control plane component status, etcd health, and API server responsiveness.

Investigate and resolve pod scheduling failures, CrashLoopBackOff events, OOMKill incidents, and persistent volume claim binding issues.

Manage node maintenance: cordon, drain, perform maintenance (firmware, OS patch, hardware swap), and return nodes to service.

Monitor and enforce namespace resource quotas, limit ranges, and network policy posture — flag and remediate any drift from the accepted baseline.

Manage RBAC: onboard/offboard cluster users and service accounts, review permissions quarterly, maintain least-privilege posture.

Renew and rotate Kubernetes cluster certificates, ingress TLS certificates, and any expiring secrets before expiry.

Coordinate with the application team on deployment readiness: validate ingress routing, service endpoints, and resource availability before application releases.

Ceph Storage Operations

Monitor Ceph cluster health dashboard daily: OSD status, PG states, replication factor compliance, and capacity utilisation against defined thresholds.

Respond to OSD failure alerts: investigate disk health (SMART data), replace failed OSDs, and monitor rebalancing to completion before any second failure.

Monitor Ceph pool capacity and raise alerts when utilisation exceeds planned thresholds — coordinate capacity planning reviews with the client.

Validate PVC provisioning for new workloads: confirm correct pool assignment, access mode, and reclaim policy.

Dell Compute & Node Operations

Monitor Dell PowerEdge R670 nodes via iDRAC: hardware alerts (PSU, DIMM, NIC, disk, thermal), BIOS event logs, and remote console readiness.

Manage firmware lifecycle: track available BIOS, iDRAC, NIC, and PERC firmware updates; schedule and apply via approved maintenance windows.

Maintain Linux OS baseline on all Kubernetes nodes: security patches, kernel updates, containerd and kubelet version alignment with the cluster compatibility matrix.

Maintain hardware inventory register: track serial numbers, firmware versions, and warranty status per node.

Backup & Recovery Operations

Monitor Dell PowerProtect backup jobs daily: confirm job completion, investigate and remediate failures, and maintain the backup success rate SLA.

Execute and document periodic restore tests (minimum quarterly): restore at least one VM and one data scenario, record restore time, verify data integrity.

Manage backup policy changes through change control: scope adjustments, retention updates, and schedule changes.

Maintain the restore runbook with current, tested procedures — update after every restore test.

Observability & Alerting

Maintain the observability pipeline: ensure log collection, metrics scraping, and alerting are functioning across all nodes and clusters.

Triage platform-level alerts: distinguish noise from genuine incidents, tune alerting thresholds, and escalate per the defined severity model.

Produce weekly platform health summaries: cluster utilisation, backup status, storage capacity, and outstanding incidents.

Desired Candidate Profile

Must-Have Requirements

Kubernetes operations experience in a production environment: node management, workload troubleshooting, RBAC, PVC/storage, certificate rotation. CKA required.

Linux systems administration: OS patching, kernel management, systemd, journald, process and disk troubleshooting.

Ceph or comparable distributed storage operations: OSD monitoring, failure response, capacity management.

Backup platform operations (Dell PowerProtect, Veeam, or equivalent): job monitoring, failure remediation, restore testing and evidence production.

Bare-metal server operations: iDRAC or iLO monitoring, firmware management, hardware fault response.

Observability tooling: experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or equivalent for cluster-level monitoring.

On-site availability in Morocco on a permanent or long-term basis.

Good-to-Have

CKS (Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist) — strongly preferred given the government security classification of the platform.

Dell PowerEdge-specific experience (PowerEdge R670 or R-series equivalent, iDRAC 9/10, OMSA).

Dell PowerProtect-specific experience vs generic backup platform knowledge.

Kubernetes upgrade experience: minor version upgrades of control plane and worker nodes on a live cluster.

Familiarity with Fortinet/network layer concepts (enough to collaborate on cross-domain incidents with the Network & Security Ops Engineer).

French or Arabic language capability.
