Position Summary
The Vanguard Center is inviting applications for full-time faculty positions at the assistant and associate professor levels. Successful candidates will have demonstrated excellence in research and a commitment to fostering academic and research growth in interdisciplinary mathematics. Faculty will play a critical role in advancing our research, collaborating with leading institutions, and mentoring the next generation of scholars. Research Areas

- Mathematical Expertise: Optimization, Operations Research, Variational Methods, Probability, Stochastic Processes, Complex Systems, Network Science, Linear Algebra, Data-Driven Modeling, Scientific Machine Learning, Numerical Analysis, Computational Mathematics, Control Theory, Dynamical Systems, Partial Differential Equations, Algebraic Geometry, Quantum Algorithms, and Information Theory.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct high-impact research that advances mathematical knowledge and contributes to addressing real-world challenges.
- Lead and collaborate on interdisciplinary projects, both within UM6P and with international partners.
- Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematics and applied mathematics, enhancing the UM6P academic curriculum.
- Mentor graduate students and postdoctoral researchers, contributing to a vibrant academic community.
- Secure research funding through grants and contribute to the center’s reputation as a global leader in mathematics and interdisciplinary research.
Qualifications
- A Ph.D. in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field.
- A strong publication record in top-tier journals and conferences.
- Proven ability to conduct interdisciplinary research and apply mathematical theory to practical, innovative applications.
- Experience in securing research funding is highly desirable.
- Teaching experience at the university level is an asset.
