Our technology and innovation, partnerships and networks combine to deliver a unique set of products and services that help people, businesses and governments realize their greatest potential.</p><p>Title and Summary</p><p>Director, Specialist Sales - Consumer Solutions, North West Francophone Africa</p><p>Overview</p><p>The Director, Consumer Specialist Lead for NWFA Cluster is responsible for leading the strategy, product development, and implementation of prepaid, debit & credit programs which drive growth within MasterCard s North West & Francophone Africa region market space This role is critical to developing winning strategies and tactics that best meet the unique needs of consumer product entities by defining the market opportunity, understanding the business needs of organizations in this segment, and working with Issuers on program development and expansion</p><p>Do you have experience working in the debit and credit card industry, with North West and Francophone Africa-based card issuers? Do you have card payments program management experience, and/or experience in developing card program strategy and product development?</p><p>Role</p><p>The essential responsibilities of the Director, NWFA Consumer Lead and Core Product Specialist Sales position are as follows:</p><ul><li>Help lead the development of the strategy, tactics, and execution plans in support of the prepaid, debit & credit card for public sector segments, including Issuers, strategic partners, and industry organizations</li><li>Responsible for leveraging and supporting the cross-sell of the full complement of Mastercard capabilities (Loyalty, Advisors, Emerging Payments, etc.) to drive both innovation and value to MasterCard shareholders in these segments</li><li>Provide consultative product expertise, education, best practices, and implementation guidance for product features and functionality to internal partners (e.g. Sales/Account Team, Product Delivery, etc.) and external customers (e.g. Issuers, governmental and industry organizations, etc.)</li><li>Work closely with business and external stakeholders to ensure effective two-way communications regarding collection of business requirements and communication of key product decisions, plans, and releases</li><li>Determine and evaluate business cases for proposed product developments that drive recommended prioritization</li></ul></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><ul><li>Prepaid, Debit and credit card payment product management experience</li><li>Strong understanding of consumer business processes/needs in the market and the ability to translate those into business and product requirements</li><li>Deep knowledge of Consumer/retail payments products and platforms as well as prior retail or Consumer Banking experience in cards especially in North Africa regions.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills with previous experience in a customer-facing role interfacing with mid to senior level executives</li><li>Ability to influence external customers and internal business partners, at all levels, and drive towards results, without direct management authority</li><li>Analytical, solutions-oriented skillset with the ability to drive thought leadership in the debit & credit card</li><li>Number driven & strong P&L/program leadership experience and business acumen with the ability to provide solutions that drive the growth of MasterCard transactions and products</li><li>Keen understanding of competitive offerings and industry trends, and the ability to translate that understanding into meaningful action and enhancements</li><li>Highly organized and able to deal with multiple and competing priorities</li><li>Effectively interface with all areas and levels of management including Customers (Issuers and corporate clients), senior executives (internal and external); Global Commercial Products, Customer Relationship teams, and Business Development teams</li><li>Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to changing conditions and priorities is critical to success</li><li>Knowledge and skills using product management tools, e.g. market and product plans, project timelines, marketing research, product validity and financial models, capital budgeting, etc.</li><li>Bachelor s degree in business or relevant experience</li><li>Able to communicate and write English, French and Arabic.</li></ul><p></p></section>
