To drive this digital journey, we wish to strengthen our Africa HR Team Casablanca Morocco, with a <strong>Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Specialist. </strong></p><br><p>To foster competitive advantages, accelerate strategy execution, improve employee experience, and strengthen operational efficiency, we are continuing our HR digital transformation journey across Africa.</p><br><p>To support this ambition, we are looking to strengthen our Africa HR Team in Meudon, France, with an <strong>HRIS Specialist</strong>. This role will play a key part in driving HR systems excellence, supporting digital HR initiatives, and providing operational support for Compensation & Benefits processes across the Area Africa organization covering 15 countries.</p><br><p>The HRIS Specialist will work closely with the Area HR team, Global HRIS teams, local HR Managers, Compensation & Benefits stakeholders, and country business leaders to ensure effective implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of HR systems and processes.</p><br><p>Key Responsibilities</p><br><p>HRIS & Digital HR Transformation</p><br><ul><li>Support the deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of HR systems across the Africa Area.</li><li>Act as a key point of contact for HR system-related activities, ensuring alignment between global standards and local business requirements.</li><li>Support the implementation and enhancement of HR digital transformation initiatives, including HR Service Delivery (HRSD) in ServiceNow and other HR platforms.</li><li>Coordinate and support testing activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), functional testing, and validation of system enhancements.</li><li>Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve HR system issues in collaboration with Global HRIS teams and local HR stakeholders.</li><li>Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across HR systems and interfaces.</li><li>Support system integrations between HR platforms, payroll providers, and other business applications.</li><li>Maintain HR knowledge articles, process documentation, workflows, and user guides.</li><li>Assist with project planning, documentation, timelines, and follow-up actions related to HR technology initiatives.</li><li>Prepare reports, dashboards, analyses, and presentations for HR leadership and management teams.</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve automation, process efficiency, data accuracy, and employee experience.</li></ul><p>Compensation & Benefits Support</p><br><ul><li>Support the administration and coordination of Compensation & Benefits processes across the 15 countries within the Africa Area.</li><li>Assist with annual compensation review cycles, salary benchmarking, incentive plans, and compensation reporting activities.</li><li>Support data collection, validation, and consolidation for compensation and benefits analyses.</li><li>Ensure HR systems accurately reflect compensation structures, organizational changes, and employee data.</li><li>Collaborate with local HR teams and external providers to maintain benefits-related information and reporting.</li><li>Generate reports and analytics to support compensation decision-making and workforce planning.</li><li>Support audits, compliance reviews, and governance requirements related to employee data and compensation processes.</li><li>Assist in the preparation of compensation and headcount reports for Area and Global HR stakeholders.</li></ul><p>HR Analytics & Reporting</p><br><ul><li>Develop and maintain HR dashboards and reporting solutions using available HR systems and analytical tools.</li><li>Monitor HR data trends and provide insights to support business and talent decisions.</li><li>Support workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, and talent management reporting requirements.</li><li>Ensure timely production of recurring and ad hoc HR reports for country, area, and global stakeholders.</li></ul><p>Stakeholder Management & Training</p><br><ul><li>Provide guidance and support to HR teams across Africa on HR systems, processes, and best practices.</li><li>Deliver end-user training and awareness sessions for new functionalities, tools, and system enhancements.</li><li>Promote adoption of HR digital solutions and encourage best practices across the region.</li><li>Serve as a liaison between Area HR, local HR teams, and Global HRIS teams to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.</li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the evolution of HR digital capabilities within the Africa Area.</li></ul><br>Qualifications<br><p>Qualifications & Experience</p><br><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.</li><li>Experience in HR Information Systems administration, implementation, or support.</li><li>Knowledge of HR platforms such as SuccessFactors, ServiceNow HRSD, Workday, or similar HR technologies.</li><li>Experience supporting Compensation & Benefits processes, HR reporting, and data analytics.</li><li>Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.</li><li>Experience working in a multinational and multicultural environment.</li><li>Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Org. Setting and Reporting<br>The UN Secretary-General launched on 1 January 2019 a bold and new global reform which repositioned the UN Development System to deliver more effectively and efficiently with the achievement of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. As part of this reform, UN Resident Coordinator Offices (UN RCO), under the leadership of an empowered and independent UN Resident Coordinator - the highest-ranking official of the UN Development System and Representative of the UN Secretary-General at country level - support countries in the achievement of their development priorities and the attainment of the SDG's. In its Resolution A/RES/72/279, the United Nations General Assembly endorsed the transformation of the Development Operations Coordination Office (DCO) as a stand-alone coordination office within the United Nations Secretariat. DCO exercises managerial and oversight functions of the resident coordinator system under the oversight of the Chair of United Nations Sustainable Development Group (UNSDG). In 2026, DCO undertook a recalibration to ensure the RC system remains optimally configured to support the acceleration of the 2030 Agenda and embodies the UN 2.0 shift- anchored in data, digital, innovation, behavioral science, strategic foresight, and a mission driven organizational culture. The position is located in the United Nations Resident Coordination Office (RCO) and reports to the Head of RCO. The incumbent works under the overall supervision of the Head of RCO while maintaining a matrixed functional relationship with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Policy and Financing Section of the SDG Coordination, Policy and Programme Division, and collaborates closely with the Regional Policy Analyst to ensure coherence and alignment of SDG policy, financing, and sustainable development support in line with corporate RC system policy corporate priorities.<br> Responsibilities<br>Within delegated authority, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties: 1. PROVIDES SUBSTANTIVE ECONOMIC ANALYSIS AND SUPPORTS EVIDENCE-BASED ADVICE ON SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION AND SDG FINANCING: • Researches, analyzes and presents economic, social and sustainable development data and information, including emerging trends and good practices related to economic transformation, green and just transition, digital transformation, the future of work and SDG financing. • Conducts economic and policy analysis to support the Resident Coordinator (RC) and United Nations Country Team (UNCT) in identifying challenges, opportunities and policy options for accelerating progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with due consideration to gender equality and leave no one behind principles. • Support implementation and localization of global/corporate guidelines, tools and other materials related to economic transformation and SDG financing, including methodologies and tools related to integrated SDG analysis, strategic foresight, data-driven decision-making, digital transformation and innovation in close collaboration with the Regional Office and the SDG Coordination, Policy and Programme Division[AJ1.1] • Provides substantive inputs to analysis and briefing materials on economic transformation and SDG financing, including integrated SDG analysis, strategic foresight, data-driven decision-making, digital transformation and innovation. • Supports the identification and analysis of entry points for integrated UN policy support related to economic transformation, including opportunities to promote more inclusive, productive, resilient and sustainable economic development. • Collects, analyses and interprets economic and development data relevant to UN country-level operations, identifies trends and gaps and proposes follow-up actions to strengthen evidence-based programming and decision-making. • Prepares substantive inputs to policy papers, analytical notes, briefing materials, reports and other knowledge products on economic transformation, macroeconomic trends and SDG financing. • Monitors national, regional and global economic developments and analyses their potential implications for sustainable development and achievement of the SDGs at the country level. • Conducts analysis on the role of the private sector in sustainable economic transformation and SDG financing and identifies potential opportunities for partnerships, innovation and blended financing approaches. • Researches and analyses emerging and innovative approaches to SDG financing, including initiatives developed by the United Nations, International Financial Institutions and other development partners. • Prepares inputs for briefing notes, talking points and background materials for the RC and UNCT on economic transformation, macroeconomic developments and SDG financing. • Supports UNCT initiatives related to SDG financing, including Integrated National Financing Frameworks (INFFs) and follow-up to Sevilla Commitments, as applicable. • Provides economic analysis and substantive inputs to humanitarian-development-peace nexus approaches, as relevant to the country context. • Identifies and analyzes issues that impact multiple SDGs and their targets and proposes ‘accelerator interventions' that can help unlock and accelerate progress towards sustainable development across multiple areas; • Assesses sustainable development trade-offs and risk factors, as well as early-warning indicators that may undermine the achievement of SDG targets and impact the UN’s role and programme in the country; • Contributes to the preparation of UN flagship reports, including the analysis of data and the provision of evidence to build the case for policies and interventions on SDGs; 2. SUPPORTS PARTNERSHIPS AND ENGAGEMENT WITH NATIONAL COUNTERPARTS AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS ON ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION AND SDG FINANCING: • Supports the RC and UNCT's engagement with government counterparts, United Nations entities, International Financial Institutions (IFIs), development partners, the private sector, academia, think tanks and civil society on issues related to economic transformation and SDG financing. • Maintains working-level collaboration and exchanges with economists across the UN system and other relevant institutions to facilitate information-sharing, policy coherence and joint analytical work. • In close collaboration with relevant RCO colleagues, supports engagement with national planning, economic and finance institutions, IFIs, private sector actors and other partners to identify areas for collaboration on sustainable economic transformation and SDG financing. • Monitors analytical work, policy developments, financing initiatives and capacity-development support provided by development partners and identifies opportunities for collaboration with the UNCT. • Supports engagement with private sector and civil society stakeholders to identify potential contributions to sustainable economic transformation and catalytic financing opportunities for achievement of the SDGs. • Facilitates engagement, as appropriate, with data communities, innovation ecosystems, academic institutions, digital actors and foresight networks to strengthen analytical capacity and support the application of UN 2.0 capabilities in the country context. • Provides substantive support to the RC/UNCT on SDG-related issues, particularly on policies to accelerate the achievement of the SDGs, including through Mainstreaming, Acceleration and Policy Support (MAPS) and similar processes, and provides advice on potential trade-offs between SDGs; • Prepares inputs for the UNCT on how UN country-level operations can be optimized and better respond to sustainable development needs and emerging trends in country; • Together with UNCT members, plans and facilitates an integrated approach to the UN’s policy advice to national counterparts in government and other external partners; • Plans and directs the work of the in-country UN Joint Policy Team (or equivalent) and drives cross-pillar nexus approaches in country to policy, analysis and assessment. 3.
