<p>The engineer for means and tooling will have the following main missions:</p><ul><li>Consolidate the need with the requester, taking into account all aspects (costs, quality, deadlines, functionalities, performance, location, SSE, and ergonomics).</li><li>Draft detailed specifications.</li><li>Establish the development plan for the means, including the definition of make or buy for the realization of the test means.</li><li>For significant external realizations: establish specifications, participate in supplier consultation and selection in conjunction with procurement.</li><li>Monitor progress (costs, quality, deadlines).</li><li>Oversee the design and manufacturing of test means: ensure the supply of necessary materials and services in compliance with quality/costs/deadlines.</li><li>Validate the test means: define control and validation procedures for the test means and carry out the integration and acceptance tests of the means after installation.</li><li>Install the test means: coordinate internal or external interventions.</li><li>Oversee the qualification of the means with support from product teams.</li><li>Participate in user training and provide technical support during commissioning.</li><li>Provide and archive all technical documentation for the means, including operational maintenance procedures.</li><li>Manage test means, specific means, and tooling in configuration.</li><li>Based on the measurement needs expressed and the expected measurement uncertainty, define the instrumentation, acquisition means, and associated processing methods to be implemented.</li><li>Maintain technological watch on the state of the art of specific means.</li><li>Develop measurement/production means for specific needs.</li></ul><p>Ensure the design and realization of test means/specific tooling.</p><p>Make the means and associated documentation available to the client and provide technical support after installation.</p><p>In the context of outsourced/co-sourced testing, manage the service provider.</p><p>Ensure compliance with costs, quality, deadlines, and safety of the testing campaign.</p><p>Propose acquisition and measurement means that meet the testing needs.</p><p>Carry out the different stages of the instrumentation process (definition, realization, installation of cabling, control, and acquisition).</p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>Bac + 5 degree in mechanics / electromechanics, multidisciplinary (technical, industrial direction) as well as good synthesis skills.</p><p>Good interpersonal skills and a taste for teamwork.</p><p>Autonomous, reactive, and creative, good communicator (multiple interlocutors: French Engineering Department, methods, production, clients, suppliers).</p>
<p>The Functional Test Engineer is responsible for guaranteeing the compliance, quality, and reliability of hardware and software solutions in a railway environment. He/She is involved in the definition, execution, and monitoring of validation activities to ensure complete coverage of functional requirements and traceability of test results.</p><p><strong>Main Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Test Analysis and Specification:</strong> Define validation strategies and plans. Write and maintain test scenarios and test cases based on functional requirements. Perform impact analyses and ensure requirement coverage. Develop and update test specifications. Produce and validate associated test documentation.</li><li><strong>Requirement Traceability and Management:</strong> Ensure 100% coverage of requirements and executed tests. Maintain traceability matrices and UVR documents. Guarantee consistency between requirements, test cases, and results. Define validation strategies for specific or partial cases.</li><li><strong>Execution and Validation:</strong> Perform functional test campaigns on simulators, test benches, TrainLab, or trains. Test software and hardware evolutions. Analyze, diagnose, and document detected anomalies. Write validation reports and track correction requests.
