Also ensure that the property is safeguarded.</p><p>Safeguard the store by regular patrolling and protect company assets. Ensure safety procedures are conformed to (store free of any hazards, fire exits are properly locked, security seals are intact, no obstruction at emergency exits, no smoking the store etc.). Perform general Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) technician duties to ensure workplace compliance with safety regulations and standards. Maintain high visibility presence to deter illegal actions such as shoplifting, theft and fights. Actively promote the IKEA social and environmental commitment and work with the rest of the team to understand how, together, we can contribute to sustainability. Deliver and coordinate safety training programmes, including Fire Protection System knowledge and Health and Safety at Work. Investigate incidents and near-misses, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions. Be aware of all security related emergency response and follow the policy and procedures.
