<h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> Join our Team About this opportunity Ericsson invites dynamic and motivated individuals to apply for the role of Implementation Management. In this role, you will take full ownership of implementation services, managing a wide range of responsibilities including defining project scope, customer interfacing, resource and time planning, and performance reporting. You will play a key role in supporting commercial engagements while ensuring strict adherence to group directives, legal and financial standards, and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) regulations. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with data privacy and security requirements, as well as approved processes and tools. This position is critical to driving operational excellence, enabling successful project delivery, and creating value for both Ericsson and its customers. <h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> Join our Team About this opportunity: We are looking for a 5G Back-Office RAN Engineer to support the configuration, monitoring and optimization of 5G Radio Access Network elements using OSS and NETAN systems. In this role, you will contribute to stable day-to-day RAN operations, incident resolution and performance management, ensuring network availability and SLA compliance. You will collaborate closely with SNOC,NOC, field teams, RF planning, core teams and vendors, supporting feature rollouts, network changes and continuous improvement initiatives. What you will do: <ul><li>Monitor, configure and manage 5G RAN elements (gNBs, DU/CU, small cells) using OSS/NETAN tools</li><li>Perform fault management activities, including alarm handling, root cause analysis, ticket ownership and SLA tracking </li><li>Analyze network performance KPIs and support corrective actions to improve availability and quality </li><li>Support activation and parameterization of 5G features  </li><li>Prepare, execute and validate configuration changes, including support for new site integration and upgrades </li><li>Produce operational reports and RCA documentation </li><li>Maintain accurate network inventory and configuration data in OSS,CMDB systems </li><li>Provide L1/L2 operational support and act as an escalation point for complex RAN incidents </li><li>Contribute to process improvements, documentation and basic automation activities </li></ul> The skills you bring: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent</li><li>Minimum 3 years of experience in mobile RAN operations or engineering, with exposure to 5G </li><li>Hands-on experience with RAN OSS/NETAN and vendor EMS/NMS platforms (Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei or equivalent) </li><li>Solid understanding of 3GPP RAN architecture and protocols  </li><li>Experience with fault and performance management, including KPI analysis and RCA </li><li>Familiarity with ticketing tools (JIRA, Remedy, ServiceNow) </li><li>Basic scripting or automation skills (Python, Shell or SQL) </li><li>Working knowledge of Linux and basic networking concepts </li><li>Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills </li><li>Good written and verbal communication skills in English </li></ul> Why join Ericsson?At Ericsson, you´ll have an outstanding opportunity. You will work on understanding how to securely and efficiently leverage network capabilities such as location, quality of service, device status, and more, to create innovative and valuable application features. This internship is intended for students currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field. It is particularly suitable for candidates who are curious, eager to learn, and interested in the intersection of mobile applications and advanced network capabilities.
